Probably because a community is a bunch of people, not one centrally controlled hive mind. Hell, I just found out there exists a person who loves True-Name Nemesis.

Personally, I've loved a lot of the viable printings they've done in the past few years, only TNN and the Dumb Cheaty Crew (Jin-Git, Griseltard, Emratrolol and Omniderp/Enter The Infinite) really grind my gears, mostly because they just feel so absudly, offensively dumb to what is supposed to be an intellectual exercise. You can have the thirst for big, splashy and kinda dumb fat satisfied in somewhat different packages that care at least a bit more about the game state. Hell, my inner Timmy is a big reason I play Elves. Pumping the team for +24/+24 and swinging for 172 IS fun.
DRS, Decay, Lingering Souls, Commander/Planechase goodies like Ooze, Agent, Strix, Flusterstorm, Toxic Deluge and so on are all amazing cards I love to play with. Delver and Snapcaster, same, even if I wish their colours were different.

I had a pretty enlightening experience today after I played against some raging 12-year in the Legacy Daily Event on MODO who insulted and shittalked me for the entire match, just because I baited him into using StP on my Revoker while saving it with a Flickerwisp.
In the end he won the match 2-1 because he had TNN + Jitte two games in a row and even boasted about it. But what really rustled my jimmies was him being cheeky enough to say "gg" and actually meaning after the entire ordeal. Too bad I couldn't report him for foul language because MODO crashed in-between games and I couldn't make a screenshot of the chat log.

I can see that people like this love TNN. Suprisingly enough, a large percentage of those people also belong to the group who deserve to be clubbed to death with a dirty toilet brush.

    We're praising Wizards for SoL.

Problem is that some of those high impact cards are pretty retarded and make the game incredible one-sided and unfun. TNN is the current poster child for this development.

Ever since Gatecrash, there has been something off with the new sets. And I'm not the only one who feels like that. Maybe it's because they shifted their focus more towards the EDH crowd and churn out overcosted high impact cards like no one's business. The brainless "double the mana cost and effect" design has also become pretty rampant recently.

One thing I'm really concerned about in the format's future is the sheer number of binary/extreme cards and effects. Hatebears included. As an example, although Elves does pretty fine against combo nowadays, I don't really enjoy the matchups much at all, because most of the interactions are very binary and create a ton of game states where things hinge on an answer card or two.
It's a far cry from the interesting battles fought on the board, or the dance between storm and (at least non-uwr) delver decks, where the interactions, hate and counterhate typically just make things harder instead of saying that the player just isn't allowed to do things. Those things are gradual, they have nuance. As a random example, contrast cantrips vs. discard and Leyline of Mulligans-into-Lottery vs. discard. There's a world of difference.

This is worth quoting in its entirety. While there are a lot of fun engines and interactions in the game pushed out by high-power threats and answers -- hell, Swords to Plowshares on its own forces creatures to be incredibly efficient or powerful, let alone Duress, FoW, etc. -- there's traditionally been a lot of room for two evenly matched players to jockey (and even make the occasional mistake). Now, though ... I also felt like Legacy's margin for error has narrowed while its blowout potential has increased; Show and Tell's the obvious example, but I think it's fair to point out that this has been a years-long march. I mean, Quirion Dryad was probably always too cute, but we're starting to see incredibly solid cards like Grim Pyromancer -- and, if UWR is really that good, Nimble Mongoose and 'goyf -- get pushed aside.

Even a lot of the new answers are rough; I mean, Rest in Peace just crushes a dozen decks. It's not like those decks are bad; outside of RIP, dredge and lands can do well, for example. It's just that one card is such a blowout that the variance is huge on those kinds of decks. Spirit of the Labyrinth suggests that we're going to get a lot more of that kind of nuclear-grade "no." A lot of the new design has absolutely pushed the envelope, and hard. The fact that you could already play absurdly unfair decks in Legacy really just highlights how painful something like Grizzlebees or "No one can do x" really can be.
The proper plural must be "hall of fames." You wouldn't say Halls & Oate, now, would you?

At a glance, none of the cards spoiled today are legacy playable. Did I miss anything?

Scouring Sands is so close... if only it killed TNN.

Yeah, looks like we are SOL for legacy playables.

So it's basically just Brimaz and Spirit?

Well, that's better than the last four sets combined, so I'll take it.

Not really sure Brimaz is playable. Maybe in conjunction with Cabal Therapy, but my instinct still says no.

You can play Oracle of Bones in Dragon Stompy.

You get a 5/3 Haste for 4, or let you play Seething Song for free so you potentially get a Sworded 5/3 Haste for 4, or a Arc Slogger out of your hand off a Seething Song with a 3/1 haste. Or they let you play that tucked away Cruel Ultimatum or Enter the Infinate and you win the game. (Enter the Infinate can win the game on the first turn in Dragon Stompy with Oracle of Bones!)
Team Shit Sandwich; smelling bad so you don't have to.

Play with the top card of your library revealed.
You may play the top card of your library if it's a land card.
Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, you gain 1 life.
    Illus. Eric Deschamps #119/165 2/4

Might become playable in Legacy, it becomes great card advantadge at turn three, plus is a blocker out of bolt range.

You might want to read the card more carefully again. There's zero card advantage attached.

EDIT: unless your only playable land is on top of the library.

I wish there would be a filter for cards without the word "creature" written on them :/

Have I missed anything or are the only 2 maybe-playables for Legacy still Spirit of the Labyrinth and Brimaz? (Can't browse through all that shit at work)

I just did a quick count. There are total of 10 cards in the whole set that dont have the word creature on them not counting the non-basics. And yes, those are the only 2 remotely playable cards and MAYBE the Infest with scry. Nothing else is even looking fringe playable. I guess Born of the Gods is another set I wont be spending any money on.

The community consists of different people wanting different things.
I can't quite understand why most of the Eternal crowd even expects WotC to print new Eternal relevant stuff in every set. When Eternal is so boring that it needs new stuff to shake it up why bother playing Eternal?
I think Legacy is changing way too often due to flashy new cards and in the last few years mostly in a bad direction: Mental Misstep, Batterskull, Griselbrand, TNN, ... just to name a few.
