I've also found that Entreat and Clique are good because they represent a quick clock and are hard to interact with profitably. Interesting that you've found counterbalance to be good against them - I've usually been taking it out because it can't deal with their late-game. My plan has been to get more 'fish-y' with hatebears and become the aggressor. Maybe I'm looking at the matchup wrong? Am I too eager to bring in Meddling Mage here when maybe my other cards are better?
Edit: Wow, out of DTB! Time to get to work people - I don't think the deck has ever been better positioned.

Yeah you definitely want to be the aggressor, but Counterbalance can buy you a ton of time. Their deck is full of 1-drops land fixers like Top, Crop Rotation, and Exploration Map. I don't usually have Meddling Mage in my board, but he seems especially good. What have you been naming first? My inclination would be to name Primeval Titan, but I could imagine cases for others. REB is also very solid and hits their FoW, Swan Song, SNT, and Repeal. I've been boarding out all my removal. I could see leaving in a Terminus or two for Counterbalance flips and last ditch answers, but usually if they get to a point where they've resolved a creature then you are in a ton of trouble.
About a year after I originally built Miracles with shocks, dismantled due to my playgroup flipping out on me... I have the deck almost fully built! The only thing I'm lacking at this point is 1-2 Jace, the Mind Sculptors (I have 1 currently).
Excited to finally have a Legacy control deck that I can play when the mood hits me (:

Ok, that makes sense. I definitely like taking out all the creature removal, just like I do against SnT - if they make a man, we have failed.
I've usually been naming Show and Tell with Meddling Mage given that if they make a man with it can be hard to recover, even if that man is 'just' Primeval Titan. Most of the rest of what I care about is a guessing game of which tutors they have, which is a losing battle. Counterbalance definitely seems like it would help there. Pithing Needle effects on Eye of Ugin are helpful as well, but those seem to always get Repealed - Counterbalance would help there too. Hmm, I haven't played this out in a few months but it sure does seem like Counterbalance should stay in the deck.
Damn it looks like this has been demoted :( hopefully a Miracles player or 2 can dominate to get us back on top .
I went 3-3 drop at the GP.
Started at 3-0, winning 2-0 against Jund Depth (CB + Jace + a few good plays), 1-0 against Elves, and 2-0 against UWR Delver (I used sdematt's trick of playing nothing and dropping land drops, then playing Top / CB pierce proof. It worked beautifully, forcing him to Pierce + Daze, Daze + Daze, and FoW my threats).
I then lost against a spanish semi-pro player playing Team America (with 2 Tombstalker --> 2 Confidant and 3 FoW / 3 Liliana) 1-2. I then lost to Elves 0-2. I know it's supposed to be an easy matchup, but my CB didn't get there G1 without Top, and he needled my on the first turn G2. Finally, I punted and lost 0-2 to Ant. I might write a report later once I'm not angry at myself.
I'll play a tempo deck tomorrow (bUrg or Grixis Delver) because Miracle is just too mentally taxing. Or maybe Drew Levin's "Blue Jund".

PV's on Miracle and looks like he's 7-0 day 1, as of the time of this post.
EDIT: PV did a deck tech, he Only has 2 CB main deck, used 3rd CB slot for Ponder instead..., interesting. 4 Jace, 4 StP and 2 CS, 1 SP, 1 SS, interesting. No Verdict but 4 Terminus. Tsabo's Web and E.T. from the SB, Jesus Christ, PV you went Deep!
His build..., interesting.

Also has Tutor SB package and SFM package as well. This really deserves a better look, despite some streamers don't run it.
Highlight of Day 1:
Paulo Vitor to me: "Thank you for giving me your decklist"
I'm really glad that the best magic player has chosen to play my list with some changes.
Disappointment of Day 1:
Only making Day 2 with 7-2, which really sucks :(
4 Jace, 2 Balance will be the stock list although Einherjer has chosen to play a 3/3 split. 9-0 without any byes is really sick. Good job my ftiend :)
If he keeps it up for more than 4 hours at a time, he should consult a doctor.
Knock them dead, Ein. I scrubbed out of a tournament I hosted. I had to mulligan like a champ today. It was really flukey. Oh well. Recorded my first loss with this deck after an 11-0 streak. I guess I had to drop a match at some point. I'll write a report tomorrow since it's 1AM now.
I still like the 3/3 split. Jace sometimes is just too much mana. Death and Taxes can be a swingy matchup, and today, I got swung.

Einherjer just become top 8 this minute!
Congratulations!

Yesterday I played 4CB, 3 Jace, 3 StP, 4 Terminus, 1 Verdict, 3 Entreat, 2 D-Sphere, 2 Tutor, and Humility to 5-3-1. Could've played better and got totally screwed on the draw against Junk (T2 Thalia, T3 Teeg). Could've played better against UWR, and my draw should've been a win but my opponent wouldn't concede G2 so I had to take the time out to actually kill him before moving to G3. Felt a little unlucky overall, but that's Magic. Deck's super solid. Tempted to switch either to a Snap/Clique build, or go with style and play Thassa.
