Modern Pimp Thread

Since the Legacy Section only focuses on pimped Legacy decks, there should also be one for sweet Modern ones :D

I'm currently working on my pimped UWR Control, although I'll most likely never finish it due to some staples (hello Snapcaster, hello fetchies) being extremely costly to foil out. :(
The screenshot only shows the currently pimped maindeck. My rule for pimpin' is "Fullart > Fullart Foil > Foil":

I'm surprised that no one joined you yet. I thought that quite some number of Sourcers also plays Modern.

I like your deck. Although I'm not the greatest fan of textless promos (mostly for potential troubles when playing with less experienced players who may have difficulties to acknowledge a given card), I must admit that this pile looks pretty nice. It's a little pity that some of the cards aren't available, I'd love to see PtE as a full art.

Speaking of PtE, if only WotC would print it with the amazing Guay's illustration but without the annoying foil layer, I may start playing some GW Modern aggro just because of the card.

To be honest though, not to attack JDK but It's really against the point of a thread to show 20 or so cards and then say everything else is too expensive. Zenikar non-foil islands are not pimp.

For me, Fullart without foiling is the way I'd like my decks to be. The pimped deck is a WIP (= I'll try to pimp more as resources permit, for now it's a little bit over 50% complete) and I was hoping to get a thread going.

The mountain is foil btw. :P

I'm like 90% done with my pimping. I'll post it after the GP this weekend, as I expect to finish it out (except maybe the blue fetches, because I expect them to reprint onslaught fetches and those blues fit my color scheme way better).

I will be at the GP. I'm not sure what I'll be wearing, but if you see someone playing a (mostly) foiled Zur deck, that'll be me. I can't imagine anyone else is playing it or has it foiled.

Here's the deck I took to the GP yesterday. I'm 4 cards off from it being completed, I don't want to spring for foil Scalding Tarns since I think they'll reprint onslaught fetches and I have 4 foil polluteds and flooded strands already. A little blurry.
