    0 Brainstorm in the finals

And the always cheerful Patrick Sullivan mentions "the sweet release of death."

Interestingly, this time, the blue decks went 0-4 against non-blue decks in the elimination rounds.

Given the general level of play where several people don't even know the basic functions of their deck, I wouldn't read too much into that.

This wasn't SCG Open St. Louis, it was SCG Open RTFC.

I just feel like I should mention this: table judges are not there to overlook the game. Each tournament, Twitter spots way more rules violations than any of the table judges - mainly, because it's not their main task to make sure nobody breaks the rules. The main reason they are there is...just to be there in case they are needed. They will of course point out obvious violations but overall, they are just spectating the match like you and me.

I'm not saying I like it that way; but last time I asked someone in charge, this is the answer that I got.
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
    1. Discuss the unbanning of Land Tax Earthcraft.
    2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
    3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
    4. Stifle Standstill.
    5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
    6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
    7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but oh my God was this painful. Especially when, with only seconds remaining on the clock and his turn over, he straightens his library before passing his turn. I wanted to just scream at my monitor.

I fail to see how this changes anything? They are still judges representing SCG in a tournament they are organizing. This is huge part of their marketing and public image: and they show off this level of incompetence in their judges?
It just plain makes them look bad, and they are doing this to themselves in a stream they are broadcasting off themselves. Seems counterproductive to me.

I suppose a low level of play has already been discussed here. I dont want to generalize because couple of SCG players play very well. If I overlook the mistakes a player who did top8 should at least know his deck and strategy. Do you have any experience with this form bigger european tournaments?

I just wanted to say that watchnig the SCG stream makes my self esteem goes up 100%

Please take 10 seconds to take the action of drawing the 3 cards for your Brainstorm. Ugh.

I'm not watching right atm but having game table sound on the stream would probably help with some of this rage.

Already tried playing it. Ended up killing Miracles with a 14/15 Noble Hierarch #AMIDOINTISRITE?

I'm pretty sure you mean 14/8 but that's still a pretty scary Druid.

What is with this goblins player's upside down lands?

ZERO delvers or stoneforge mystics in the top 8. That's got to be a first in a while. In the top 16, only 4 delvers and still 0 stoneforge.

That burn player with only his lands upside down. He's edgy and not at all typical. Very cool. Such different. Stylish.

And Miracles takes it down against Brad Nelson playing UG Infect.

Brad most likely would have won if the Dazed the Snapcaster chump blocker to force the fetchland crack, shuffling Terminus away. Damn shame about that.
