Sorry, I see that I wrote to cast cunning wish on my turn instead of their turn which I meant to say, which made the rest of the plays off a turn. My point was more that you can spend a turn and a card to try and deal with canonist (which might be protected via mother), or you can just cast instants on your turn and theirs until you get an Emrakul in play. It's a lot worse if you have to try and play spells to find a cunning wish though...
After I saw deck tech with Feline I've been thinking: what about playing 2-3 snapcaster mages to recast s&t again (or anything needed at the moment)? Has anyone toyed with this crazy idea already and can share the results?
@horseman have you considered it maybe instead of tutors/jaces?

why cards are so expensive...hoarders
I guess one good reason is that by using snapcast, you can have the versatility of having your graveyard for other instances. double pact of negation.. resolving a snapcast dig thru time by omniscience. I haven't tested it yet but it seems feasible.")

I don't think snapcaster is where you want to be going.
As well as relying solely on show and tell plan. And especially when your gameplan is almost always s&t into something - you must have a way to recast the core part of your combo again if going off failed . Snapcaster could work here as a pseudo burning wish in ur omni. I think it's worth testing nowadays. I would always play this than dig through time
Play more games with it. I can say with confidence that DTT was just as, if not more powerful than SNT. The card does everything.
In most of my matches I was carefully crafting positions that ensured my DTT would resolve, many on my own turn. This is because once that card happened, I almost couldn't lose the game.
I beat BUG twice at the GP and my record vs miracles is closer to 50% than I'd like it to be. My local miracles opponents are very good, though.
Dig is amazing against BUG because it largely invalidates their discard strategy when you play correctly. Flusterstorm on discard spells is great and defense grid from the board destroys them. BUG is just like any other tempo deck, but with discard instead of a faster clock. Their mainboard decays also make G1 a breeze.
EDIT: It's really important to remember that this deck, like most combo decks, is about winning small battles that build up to a victory in "the war". Cantrip decisions and timing will all play a massive role in the outcome of your match, whether you realize it or not.
I've used DTT several times, i just didn't like it. It was a win more card for me. By the time I use DTT, i'm usually only missing ETI.
I've been using personal tutor as a 2 of to get my combo pieces faster instead. Its been pretty decent.
I think on the snapcaster note, I think you should take out the DTT and 2 dream halls build to even make it work. leave 1 dreamhalls and 2 dtt for the 3 snapcaster.
Well, if you want to borrow tech, Repeal is actually an interesting card that I've been meaning to try out. Bounces flipped delvers for 1 and helps against almost all hate cards except for Chalice at one or a mother protected Thalia.
Also, I completely agree on Dig Through Time. The card is amazing and the reason to play with this deck now IMO. For the most part, I think it replaces empty the infinite. If you look at the 6th placing list of the GP for example it was on 4 dig and only 1 empty the infinite. I'm not even sure you need any of them; I think dream halls is really bad at this moment, and if you can cast a dig for free via omniscience you're probably just winning anyway. The fizzle rate is really low casting dig into more cantrips.
With 4 digs, I think running 1 snapcaster is very acceptable and maybe even two, but there is a cost to run it still imo. The deck can also get clogged on really awkward draws (not enough cantrips, etc.)
I won a mini tourney with my deck list and I guest its faster now.

Hey everyone!
I picked up this deck some time ago. However, I don't play Legacy as much as I would like and whenever I can play, I have been playing Imperial Painter. Since Painter isn't in the greatest spot right now I have been thinking about picking this deck up again.
That being said, I am looking for a good starting point. The list that took 9th at GPNJ looks interesting with MD Pacts, but not having dream halls main and only having 1 Enter the Infinite seems risky. Can anyone expand on why these changes were made? When I had played this deck previously, I think there were 3 Dream Halls and 4 Enter the Infinite in the main.
Thanks in advance!
All I can say is that I respect your opinions even if mine experience with the card is different and I'm not playing the deck since yesterday :). I guess I can give DTT another chance. But still snapcasters can be a good swap for d.halls which are getting weaker now. Mages are blue, pitch to fow, help us recast cantrips/s&t or some combo part needed at the moment. Plus as Norm said about an intuition they combo with it also as you can flashback s&t. It can be a fine tech so if someone will also test it pls share the results. Regards :)
Edit: what do you do with DTT post side in d&t/miracles (RIP) matchup? Side out or keep?
