Thread: [Deck] Imperial Painter

The best of luck. You will have to share how well the main board revoker plays for you. I have been very unimpressed with it and have personally gone to spellskite.

I like to keep 1 MD revoker because it is really effective against Storm decks (ANT, TES, Belcher). We can fetch it with e. Tutor or recruiter and cast it naming LED or Charbelcher. It is strong against S&S either. We can lock sneak attack while we beating our opponents.

It also is good against Others decks, but the main reason I keep it in MD lies in the STORM. I hate loose against storm decks, there are MU we MUST win.

I would like to play with a Spellskite but I cant find a slot for him.

Spellskite seems better in the current meta (lots of U/R delver and burn) then revoker. That being said, our match up with the U/R delvers with 12 cheap creatures and 8-12 burn spells and counters seems rather poor at the moment. I am not sure what changes we can make in our SB or MB to even the odds. It seems like 20-35% of the folks are playing the aggressive burn U/R delver at my local stores and MTGO. If we want to stay relevant, we need to adjust our decks somewhat against them. I do think our matchup with TES/ANT is not that bad. With thorn/canonist/rip/revoker(SB), I feel that I do have a good chance of winning game 2 and 3 if I lose game 1.

I've had an increasing amount of trouble beating Miracles lately. I used to consider the matchup relatively even, but with the inclusion of Blue Elemental Blast, the matchup seems a lot worse, and these win-cons EDIT: Koth and Assemble aren't working so well. Perhaps a non-red alternate win-con is worth looking into.

Thinking about Cursed Scroll, Phyrexian Processor, or Luminarch Ascenscion. Anyone have any experience running these cards?

I think Assemble the Legion is better at what you're trying to do with those cards.

Hi fellow. UWr Miracles is a hard match for us. I used to play with 1 koth in MD and 1 in SB, it helps a lot. Venser is a rock in the shoe, for this reason I put sudden schock (it helps agains jace and vendillion either).

He's looking for a win condition that is not affected by Blue elemental blast. I think the processor is reasonable ... cursed scroll seems slow and luminarch ascension relies on th opponent not dealing damage which is far from guaranteed.

Yea, the idea is to have a win con that got around blue blast (and I am guessing was not easy for miracles to counter). Koth and assemble both get blasted.

After talking with Ringo, I had said that these win cons will likely be what you are looking for to "start winning" one you have the game locked up with bridges and moons. Because of this, I don't think cursed scroll is a terrible option. Processor is viable but a little shaky because you will need to keep cards in your hand because of bridge.

To summarize: cursed scroll is slow, but it gets around our own lock prices. With processor you need to be mindful of bridge (you can pay 1 life but then it is just a reallllly slow assemble the leigon).

Right, I missed the post before the one I replied too. My thinking would be the same, processor seems the most reasonable of the 3.

With processor and bridge, you can pay2, 3 or 4 life, and just make sure to never have 4 cards in hand on their turn. You can draw to whatever number you can still attack with, and then dump cards as needed after. Endless 2/2s, 3/3s, or 4/4s seems hard for miracles to beat.
On the other hand, if you can slam it aggressively and pay 8-10 life, that also seems pretty good.

I suppose. Maybe I am too concerned with other match-ups where you need to empty your hand entirely to be safe. After some thought, processor may work well.

Test against Kyle when he isn't ripping off the top of his deck like some scrubby "noob-lucker" and let me know how it goes

I'm not sure if I'm too keen on processor. With ancient tombs you can hit yourself pretty hard and we have no maindeck way of restoring health.

I am also biased in the sense my local meta is heavy on burn and U/R delver.

Nuke, I think the card would be pretty much exclusively for Miracles, and definitely wouldn't bring it in against fast decks with lots of damage potential.

I've settled on a list for the treasure cruise meta and just wanted to say I'll try to make a better attempt to broadcast now that it's set. Granted it's not that big of an event to do so I just know some enjoy chatting along with me live and I certainly enjoy having company. List is in the shortcake section at the front if anyone cares. Basically overload the combo type of build.

I have a question about Koth vs Assemble. While I like the logic behind the change to assemble, are we not worried about it dying to wear//tear. I feel like it's much more likely that it gets removed than koth.
