I want to dedicate a single sideboard slot to U/R delver since I play against it a lot locally. The matchup feels pretty close but since I play against it so much I really want an extra card to help swing the matchup. I'm thinking about playing a single choke since they can't actually remove it once resolved.

Any other cards that are hard for them to deal with?

I know Julian has been trying out Marsh Casualties as anti-UR Delver tech. I've had a Jitte in the board for a while which has been fairly successful against Delver.

The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
    1. Discuss the unbanning of Land Tax Earthcraft.
    2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
    3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
    4. Stifle Standstill.
    5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
    6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
    7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).

Have your elf a happy and healthy 2015, one and all. And may wizards engage in a little elf improvement this year.

How is the card preforming for you? Does it help a lot with UR delver?

    Re: [DTB] Elves!

Got to get out and play some legacy last night for the first time in a while.

List still felt fine. Surgical Extraction is my main flex slot at the moment and it's been reasonable.

    R1: Maverick (2-1)
    +1 Progenitus, +2 Disfigure, +2 Abrupt Decay
-1 Craterhoof, -1 Quirion Ranger, -1 Nettle Sentinel, -1 Scavenging Ooze, -1 Green Sun's Zenith

Pretty sure he has access to Containment Priest, but I know for sure he has at least 1 Gaddock Teeg. Just wanted to experiment with Disfigure over a third Decay. It might be a bit more vulnerable to Umezawa's Jitte, but I think leaving in 4 Natural Order hedges well against that.

    R2: Punishing Maverick (2-0)
    +1 Progenitus, +2 Disfigure, +2 Abrupt Decay
-1 Craterhoof, -1 Quirion Ranger, -1 Nettle Sentinel, -1 Scavenging Ooze, -1 Green Sun's Zenith

Same deal, it might be alright to leave in Ooze if I were more worried about Punishing Fire... but I'm not. I'd rather just go bigger since I know he doesn't have Toxic Deluge or Zealous Persecution to punish me.

    R3: Elves (2-0)
    +2 Thoughtseize, +1 Cabal Therapy, +1 Disfigure
-1 Wirewood Symbiote, -1 Scavenging Ooze, -1 Reclamation Sage, -1 Quirion Ranger

Eh, Disfigure might be fine on the Play.. but on the Draw it feels really bad. It might be right to bring in more discard as well - having two Birchlores means you can Glimpse into them more easily.
Game one he's on the play with a turn 3 kill lined up, I Glimpse into the nuts and Hoof him on Turn 2.

    R4: UWR Stoneblade (1-2)
+2 Thoughtseize, +1 Sylvan Library, +3 Abrupt Decay, +1 Progenitus
-1 Quirion Ranger, -2 Heritage Druid, -2 Nettle Sentinel, -1 Scavenging Ooze, -1 Craterhoof Behemoth

He has access to Lightning Bolt and Swords to Plowshares (plus Pyroclasm and such out of the board) so I'd rather not be relying on Heritage Druids. I think I should bring in Pithing Needle instead of one of the Decays. It's not like playing against UWR Delver where you need to have a removal spell for the Delver - his only threats are Stoneforges and True-Names really. Lost a close set of games partially to some unfortunate draws.

Yeah, pretty standard night - I had to face Jitte numerous times, but without the quick clock of a Delver to supplement it I never really felt like I was under any pressure. The deck still feels really powerful and I'm debating going to 4 Heritage Druids in the main just to try it out.

As a random aside, I got a German Null Rod from my Secret Santa and I've got a set of German Disfigures coming in the mail. Paired with the German fetches I bought during SCG's foreign sale, I'm now only a couple cards off having the deck entirely in German (sadly it's the big stuff - Natural Orders, Cradles, Bayous).
    Tusk up.
(Not so) Current Decks: GB Elves, GW Maverick, GWb Maverick, LED Dredge, ANT, TES, Jund Storm.

    Re: [DTB] Elves!

    Hi All

Will try this one this week with some adjustments for french metagame, very ur delver or young pyro.
Julian23 I have a question regarding the choice of playing 19 or 20 lands, what do you think in this list?
Is it possible to try 19 with only 9 fetches?
What is the solution over treasure cruise? Tormod s crypt or you play with dts?
    20 LANDS
    4 Gaea's Cradle
    4 Misty Rainforest
    4 Verdant Catacombs
    2 Windswept Heath
    2 Forest
    2 Bayou
    2 Dryad Arbor
    28 CREATURES
    4 Quirion Ranger
    4 Wirewood Symbiote
    3 Nettle Sentinel
    3 Heritage Druid
    4 Elvish Visionary
    4 Deathrite Shaman
    2 Birchlore Rangers
    1 Progenitus
    1 Craterhoof Behemoth
    1 Scavenging Ooze
    1 Reclamation Sage
    12 INSTANTS and SORC.
    4 Green Sun's Zenith
    4 Glimpse of Nature
    4 Natural Order
    SIDEBOARD
    3 Cabal Therapy
    3 Abrupt Decay
    1 Sylvan Library
1 Ruric Thar The Unbowed against delver

    Re: [DTB] Elves!

I still like the Dryad Millitant in the SB. I like that it shuts off Dread Returning Elesh Norns. But that's just me, most people choose not to run it for various reasons. It isn't an Elf and thus doesn't like to play with Heritage Druid and Wirewood Symbiote, it doesn't really advance the NO-plan, it only has one toughness and doesn't allow you to pull cards out of the yard that are already there. I just look at it as a GSZ'able mini-RiP with legs that's just happy sitting on its ass, not needing you to commit further resources for it to do it's business.

So for me it's machine gun-DRS, Ooze & Millitant as anti-graveyard package.
