So it's the end of the year. Here's a recap of the (maindeck) vintage pimp I've picked up this year.



The Bob and Flusterstorm just arrived today (with a sweet 20% off boxing day).

I hate that voltaic key but the damn thing is foil so I guess I have to play this art. Next year I hope to pick up some French FBB dual lands to replace the ugly white border revised lands (not pictured since they're not pimp) and maybe start on the beta power train if things go well at work.

I'm here to end the year by taking it down a notch. Mostly been working on my gloriously white-bordered cube recently, so haven't really had anything pimp enough to be worth posting. The closest thing I've got is the deck I played most recently in Vintage. I really need to upgrade my Mystical, Vamp, and Will among others, but this deck was intended for play not pimp.

I present you with Burning City Vault for the lulz (aka loses2nullrod.dec):

Sideboard (Couldn't quite fit in the second Chains since good sense was not completely trumped by the irrational desire to hose Treasure Cruise, even at the expense of my own game plan):


While this deck is hilarious in more ways than are readily apparent at first glance, I cannot in good conscience recommend it for serious attempts at Vintage Victory. But if you don't mind losing horribly most of the time as long as you can occasionally draw half your deck on turn 1 without a Griselbrand in sight and/or uncounterably sending Oath/Grizbees far away from the current game, this deck just might amuse.

Well, if you can't be talked out of it, I advise you not to skimp on Time Vault. Apparently, it had already migrated to the cube, and so avoided being photographed alongside its posse as seen above. But might as well throw it up anyway with some other cube stuff before someone gets snarky about the absence. Must have either cut Mystical or had Notion Thief in the board when I played it to make the math work.

hi, this thread is a little quiet these days and I don't know if t'is boring to post complete sets here, but I got these two recently:

A full set of Antiquites, most cards are NM or NM-, Workshop is NM which may be fine.

And a complete set of Starter 1999...Nearly all the cards are NM. I collected this for quite a while and feel happy I finally finish it, it is beautiful in my eyes although it is white bordered and most cards in this set are reprinted.

Those complete sets are very nice. That Starter set reminds me of elementary school :P
