This guy plays flickerwisp on a response to show and tell omni.

I cunning wish in response. Get FF. FF gets me another cunning wish, a twincast, and a brainstorm. I then use cunning for ants, then twincast for cunning, getting call. I then brainstorm the emmy to the top for the win.

I don't know if impulse would have gotten me there. Never had a chance to see how deep i would have dug.

I played today with Twincast in my deck and the effect from resolving Cunning Wish for FF was amazing. Yes, Impulse does not provide such strong effect.

Through the Breach is a must in the SB big part why play the red splash. Very good in mirror and if they remove your SnT, can be use otherwise aswell ofc if u have cunning and Emrakul in your hand but no SnT.

What can Rending Volley do that Lightning Bolt dont take care of? No point with "cant be countered". Lightning Bolt can be good to finish up some games aswell, for example if u have attacked with emrakul using Through the Breach.

It seems good because it hits delver, canonist, teeg, thalia, meddling mage.

Just another option other than lightning bolt and sudden shock.

The biggest hinderance to hate bears is activated abilities...not counters.

sudden shock stops both.

Yeah, last time against maverick I dropped an Omniscience while he had a Quasali Pridemage and mana open. I played Sudden Shock after and even watched him staring at his Mother of Ruins :P

Sounds like it could have been a play mistake first from you then from him. Is likely nothing to do with Sudden Shock.

I couldn't do much wrong there. 2 tapped Island because of the Choke he played, one untapped and a City of Traitors draw from the top (knew that after a ponder last turn). I believe it was that same game with the Quasali situation, but not 100% sure and it doesn't really matter. So yeah, I go for it, having Sudden Shock planned, nothing wrong there. Can't do much with Choke in play and a very decent clock. My opponent, Fabian Görzgen (known for some great Punishing Maverick results), could have tapped Mother for pro red in response to Show and tell, but why? I only showed Island if I'm correct. He could fear Wipe Away, what should have been correct in that situation, and give pro blue to the Pridemage, but that wouldn't matter. Just to clear things up already :)

To be clear I wrote sounds like a play mistake. With a window open that it wasnt. So u have sb in one off Sudden Shock and natural draw it? What did you have more in your hand?

2 Sudden Shocks postboard. Guess I was not able to go off at instant speed.

But I was just pointing out that/why Sudden Shock is better than the blue/white uncounterable 4 damage 'bolt' and in a lot of situations also bolt.

I was mostly thinking as one-off sb. Then the split second dont matter. Anyway the problem is that the card often is not necessary, in your example u could have alot of combinations of cards that would win aswell or just emrakul maybe. And if u only have for example cunning wish, right play is to wait and pass the turn. Or ponder and dig/cunning just start off with ponder. If u find something just keep playing and if it was blank just pass the turn. That Sudden Shock could have been alot of other cards that would do the trick. I dont like sb in red removal spell against wasteland decks anyway, I wanna keep it Basic.

I don't know in what match-up you tried bolt and sudden shock and consider them as waste of slots...maybe u can try again against ur delver or stoneblade with multiple hatebears...

ANT went to 1 life with ad nauseam and passed the turn. I took mine and only had Cunning wish and 3 Island + a fetch for Volcanic. Wish I had Bolt in my sideboard at that point :'(! But yeah.. I still prefer Sudden Shock I think, or maybe I should split?

Who is still playing Noxious Revival? I barely use it.. I could cut it or a Cage or Grid, hmm..

Omnitell, Grixis Control and Deathblade to Lille! Hope I'm not still in doubt after the last chance trials ^^

Yeah, when you're facing down Meddling Mage and Canonist you'll be glad to have them.
