Cards that look interesting from the spoilers outside of animist's awakening are:
Disciple of the ring.
Harbringer of the Tides
Displacement wave
Brewing a new list. I can say it is reinvigorating my interest in 12post again.
THAT is a ramp card!!! if you are on the draw against a blue deck, you can put in the battlefield basically for free (you spend 1 green mana, but you have 1 green mana back in the second main phase, if opponent played an island). I'd add more in my sideboard, but 15 slots are very few :( . (I cannot avoid choke against blue, I cannot!!)
ok, everyone is talking about animist. But I don't like it, so I made some search on magiccards.info to find a good ramp card.
khans, of course (dragons can be funny if we are ready to cast emrakul xD).
1) it gives us GG on EACH main phase. ok, it's not the same as having GGGG in a round, but when we cast it on the first main phase we can go to second phase and have GG, it's "like" we paid it only 2 mana. Let me dream: cloud post, forest, glimmerpost in play. Frontier siege. Second main phase, GG, explore/candelabra/stirrings. Not bad. Ok, it's a dream, but it's a "combo" more likely than animist with x=3 and have 2 cloudpost and 1 vesuva.
2) in g1 normally nothing can remove it.....no needle, no decay, enchantment doens't have a lot to fear in g1 in legacy. If opponent has a lot of wasteland or in some way slows down our ramp, this will always gives two precious mana.
3) I like the artwork :D
4) it's cheap.
5) it's a 4 cmc drop, I think it fits well in 12 post, during 3-4 turn, to boost the game toward 6-7 mana, our turning point.
Ideas?
Has anyone tested Dig through Time a little more? As every one knows, the card is insane and I have been trying to incorporate it in the deck. Here's my latest list:
4 Cloudpost
4 Glimmerpost
3 Vesuva
4 Misty Rainforest
4 Tropical Island
1 Island
1 Forest
1 Karakas
1 Bojuka Bog
1 Glacial Chasm
1 Eye Of Ugin
1 Emrakul, the Aeons torn
1 Kozilek, Butcher of Truth
2 Ugin, the Spirit Dragon
3 Expedition Map
2 Candelabra of Tawnos
2 Pithing Needle
4 Brainstorm
4 Repeal
4 Force Of Will
2 Dig Through Time
2 Displacement Wave
4 Explore
4 Crop Rotation
SB:
4 Flusterstorm
4 Surgical Extraction
3 Krosan Grip
1 The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale
3 Flex slots
I like the configuration of the deck with more bounce spells. Ugin is very good but I was disappointed with his interaction with Show And Tell. Without the S&T-Titan package you lack the explosivity that can close games quickly but the resiliency that DTT + more bounce spells give is worth testing in my opinion.
Okay i'm going to ask you for advice once more. Since you are all expert legacy players and patrons of the 12 post I feel this is the right place to ask my questions. I still have 1.000 available to spend on this. I'm hesitating between getting 3 candelabras or 1 candelabra + 4 tropical islands + 4 misty rainforests. i have most of the other cards except the expensive blue FOW, S&T, ....
now i know the candelabra is a narrow card, but on the other hand the tropicals seem expensive as well not to mention i won't be buying show and tell, FOW and the like soon. i guess that if i'm missing key blue cards the tropical islands are not a good idea? i also acquired savannah's and fetches so i can splash white (got them for a good price). Would it be better to just get those candles and fully commit to the deck or play sort of "handicapped" UG version until i can get the missing cards?
What are the pros and cons looking at this in terms of investment? the candelabras seem harder to move than tropical islands? Are any of these cards expected to lose value? are tropicals inflated at this point?
Thanks for your help.
Personally, I would buy 2 candelabras and build the G/w version then. You are going to want 2 candelabras no matter what if you are going to play this deck. You don't have to have more than 2 no matter what build you play. Then hold on to your money and see how you like this build. You could also test them both on MWS or Cockatrice and see which one you like.

Get the legacy staples. I'd get 1 candle and all the lands.
The list I'm testing atm is this, although I am actively testing Origins cards inside this shell:
// Lands
4 [ZEN] Misty Rainforest
4 [FNM] Cloudpost
4 [SOM] Glimmerpost
1 [WWK] Eye of Ugin
4 [R] Tropical Island
2 [OD] Island (4)
1 [WWK] Bojuka Bog
1 [LG] Karakas
1 [ON] Polluted Delta
1 [AVR] Cavern of Souls
// Creatures
4 [RTR] Deathrite Shaman
1 [ROE] Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
3 [M11] Primeval Titan
2 [ZEN] Oracle of Mul Daya
2 [FUT] Venser, Shaper Savant
// Spells
4 [MM] Brainstorm
3 [ZEN] Spell Pierce
4 [ZEN] Expedition Map
3 [CHK] Sensei's Divining Top
2 [KTK] Dig Through Time
4 [GP] Repeal
2 [US] Show and Tell
3 [UL] Crop Rotation
// Sideboard
SB: 4 [AL] Force of Will
SB: 3 [CMD] Flusterstorm
SB: 2 [NE] Submerge
SB: 2 [TSP] Krosan Grip
SB: 1 [FRF] Ugin, the Spirit Dragon
SB: 1 [R] Blue Elemental Blast
SB: 2 [FD] Engineered Explosives
The SB is a mess. but that always happens with new builds. Thus far I am enjoying the MD immensely.
man, 2 candelabra are wonderful for this deck, but 4 tropical..... you can sell them easily in the future, and you have the core for other decks if you want to change. Candelabra has its value mostly for rarity, you can use it only in 12 post and tide, and sell mainly to collectors.
thanks for all the advice. I'm angry at myself i didn't grab the chance to get everything from one dude who is selling out of magic. i hesitated and he sold almost all my wants until i realized it was a great deal! in the end i only got a karakas and savannah + fetches and some other stuff... well i'm green i guess.
i will most likely go for 1 candle and tropical, like you say they're more flexible. In the end i just might be dumb enough to get the second candle as well![]()
Are we ever to expect printing of a card that could replace a candelabra? i mean aren't there any other cards that could replace it "just" untaps our lands? it's frustrating, as i don't even like the art on it too much![]()
done! one candle NM and 1 set of tropicals EX-NM on their way for 800. man i feel lighter already...
don't congratulate me too soon i'm still missing a lot of cards!
can this deck be played without sensei? is it a must play?
Long time lurker here. I play RG Lands right now and love it. But I have played Tron in Modern forever, and this looks like Tron with big boy pants. What is the main thing holding this deck back from frequent top 8 appearances? I know the power level is there, but why do I not see this deck, basically ever, on streams?
A.) It has a very rough combo matchup. In Legacy, combo is more heavily represented than in Modern, so this style of deck has to deal with combo that usually can only be interacted with on the stack.
B.) Even by Legacy standards this deck is very decision-intensive and hard to pilot. There are more decisions within each turn for this deck's pilot than probably any other deck in Legacy (even Miracles).
YouTube has quite a lot (search either for Jeremiah rudolph - Rock Lee -, or just 12 post).

uf the dude didn't want to move not even for 33 on an order of 433 ahaha guess i'm not geting the second candelabra right now as i won't buy anything without a discountbesides i have found another seller with many of the sideboard cards and other maybe cards along with the mystis i'm missing and SDT.
What i'm asking is what's the deal with trinket mage? do we "budget" guys running only 1 candle "have" to play it, is it worth the slot or two? trinket can bring us SDT i get that (don't see how would that even matter in a list running 4 SDT and 4 ancient stirrings??). Is it good enough to keep in the MB?
