Yeah, as the set's been spoiled I've been thinking more and more about this interaction. With that "combo", these Eldrazi are straight up OP. But without the combo assembled, would you really want to see any of these cards?

Well, Molten Nursery has potential as a combo element in egg decks or some kind of sensei-sensei combo deck. Probably not going to make the cut though.

I like that it plays well with itself. Like, seeing more than one copy isn't the death knell it would usually be.

    Sanctum of Ugin
    Land
Tap: Add {1} to your mana pool
Whenever you cast a colorless spell with converted mana cost 7 or greater, you may sacrifice Sanctum of Ugin. If you do, search your library for a colorless creature card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle your library.
This and Myr Enforcerer looks potentially interesting in artifact stompy as a way to tutor Lodestone Golem (or Kuldotha Forgemaster for combo builds), possibly chaining 4/4's with Crucible of Worlds or multiple copies.

At first I didn't see the double X. Still a good card I think.

Thoughts on the new spell land cycle?

    Click me!

Seems kinda meh and underpowered compared to the old one.

The more I see of the set, the more I dislike it. They're trying to do homages to cards of the old Zendikar, yet they don't have the balls to make something good, leaving us with underpowered, boring crap.

@bruizar: It's either an overcosted Banishing Light that can't even exile shit against S&T or it requires at least 6 mana to do something original. This card has no place in Legacy.

I mean, since the last one gave us crap like Turntimber Grove you can't really say it's too much worse, but I'm still confused as to why they have to copy the previous sets theme-for-theme.

I really like the blue one. The idea of landing a few of these in succession to keep a creature at bay seems powerful. With Lands, it actually seems pretty simple to pull off even with only one in the deck.
"Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job."
"Politicians are like diapers. They should be changed often and for the same reason."
"Governing is too important to be left to people as silly as politicians."
"Politicians were mostly people who'd had too little morals and ethics to stay lawyers."

Better version of Thassa? Black one could also be pretty ok.

Edit: Waaaay better Thassa. Wish it was in white though. Maybe without the "untap" part?

    Edit:

FUCK ME THIS CARD IS AMAZING.

The black enchantment is sweet. Probably very janky, but a Grixis standard deck playing the Ingest Baleful Strix, the black Enchantment, the new Sowing Salt, and Oblivion Sower. Toss in new Jilt, new Skinrender, and new Hero's Downfall for board control.

Honestly, it might be single-handedly responsible for revitalizing the deck.

Wasteland Strangler looks pretty good, I like it.

White doesn't get much card draw/library manipulation because Maro is a dick.

Strangler on T2, played with mana generated by DRS from their GY. You would play:

    2B

    When ETB, kill target Delver/DRS/Mother

    3/2

But also good throughout the game when you are very likely to be able to get the activation, particularly if on your own DRSs. -3/-3 kills everything fair apart from 'Goyf and the new Black Delve guys.

It punishes opposing fetchlands as well for feeding your DRS.

If it had Deathtouch a la Baleful Strix I would say it was for sure playable but 3/2 for three doesn't really hang in a 'Goyf/Angler world. Worth trying though and good in some metas.

    JUDGE!

How does this interact with RiP? Will you still get the trigger if you move a card from to exile...to exile?

We've been over this earlier in this thread. It would get exiled again and you still get the effect.

    Nice, thanks.

EDIT: Do you know roughly how far back the discussion was? Would save me going through each page.

Agree on the white enchantment. I sort of like the land cycle though. Especially the blue one for control / prison type decks. Won't get played, but I still like it.
