Is there any merit in revisiting a mid-range build spotlighting Slate of Ancestry? Shaman of the Pack gives this good a great weapon with Umbral Mantle IMO... Plus banefire vs miracles is hilarious.

Elves can already push a fine Midrange game. The only reason to go further down such a path would be to deal with an overly hostile meta and even then, it would be better to play a dedicated Midrange deck.

Glimpse, Natural Order and Green Sun's are much better in my eyes than an 8 mana draw spell.

I did have fun with a build running Slate of Ancestry and Genesis Wave as its only non-permanent spell once. I even chose to forego GSZ. But 4 mana -> I win is so much better than 4 mana -> I have an artifact.

Sadly no longer DTB but we'll be back soon.

Did anyone thought about Archetype of Endurance in Progenitus Slot, too?

Not sure why I'm thinking about it now but in a bunch MU's he does the same not with the speed of the Hydra but castable from your Hand.

PS: One off Cavern Main and one in the SB with a SotP main felt super strong so far.

Why? What does it do that we need and how is it better than what's occupying the slot it'd take now? Please keep in mind it has to beat "I win right here, right now".

    Re: [Deck] Elves!

Yeah it doesn't win you the game but it makes it more comfortable maybe I just thought about it because I hate Progenbitus so much because the damn snake loves it to chill in my hand.

I couldn't get any better creature with hexproof in my mind to take over the Progenitus slot.

Just wanted to hear some thoughts from you guys.

I see where you are coming from, but if "castable and hexproof" is the requirement, PlatedSlagworm/KalonianBehemoth/GaeasRevenge/etc would have seen play long before, but the Point is that Progenitus can't be chumpblocked by all the Pyromancer/Tarmogoyf/SFM/etc. in the format unlike all the other green Shroud/Hexproof fatties. Looking only at Plowshares isn't going to take you anywhere if you have to present a threat which has to punch through a battlefield. Thats the reason Packmaster was so an excellent addition to the Elves cardpool and I suspect that Polukranos isn't too bad either.

    Re: [Deck] Elves!

How popular is BUG (Shardless? Delver?) in Spain? Rodrigo told me there's a lot of Miracles in Madrid.
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
    1. Discuss the unbanning of Land Tax Earthcraft.
    2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
    3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
    4. Stifle Standstill.
    5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
    6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
    7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).

    [Deck] Elves!

I think that the bug delver is the most popular deck whith miracles in second place and the sneack and show in third.
But i don't have any statistic!
I talk about what i see arround!
do you have any sugestion to this metagame?

If I was looking for green, hexproof and castable, I'd be looking at Sigarda. Or, if you want to do lulzy things, Simic Sky Swallower, but that gets too expensive.

Sigarda also has evasion, so there's that.

I'd still rather take the risk and go for NoPro.

Miracles was once pissing me off so much, it made me try Aetherling.

I don't know whether that or Punishing Elves was the worst thing I ever tried in Magic.

Punishing Elves? Sounds like fun. Need to add Loam and Depths though to really get it going. Bonus, it feeds DRS.
