For pack foils I decided to go with the new ones for consistency's sake, even though I prefer the old arts.

So, I don't think my choice is necessarily the most pimp or best looking, but I'm very pleased with its consistency.

While I can appreciate staying with the theme, how do you reconcile the fact that half the swords have a watermark, and Batterskull with the watermark vs Jitte without? IMO that is worse than the shooting star.

Sharpies can fix that Simon! Super cost effective when upgrading to Beta! Toenail clippers are a solid investment too if you want to turn your new Beta cards into Alpha.

Is this the general consensus? I'm foiling out all my decks and was curious. How do judge promos fit into this? (Dark Confidants and Fetchlands) How about the new expeditions?

I like Judge promos, for exemple swords and cruicible because old frame foil, for me, is the best foil ! And personally dont like expeditions.

I think I agree. I'm finishing my Jund deck (it's already foiled out, just upgrading things), and am going to upgrade my MM confidants to either pack foils or judge foils (probably judge for the borders) and then my MPR bolts to judge foils as well.

Besides alpha duals, I'll be done.

Edit: I remember that judge confidants have that terrible shooting star. Now I have to think about this...
