Also @Wilkin, I see you have two Decay in the sideboard. What match ups do you want to board it against?

I wanted a 3rd Lingering Souls so I put AD in the sideboard instaed.

It's mostly for Miracles but I do side it in other matchups where it's applicable and where there aren't likely to be too many wastelands. Such as....

    -UR Delver
    -Tezzerator
    -Elves
    -burn

Thanks. I noticed it as well. When I first saw the picture of Hero of Bladehold in a Legacy article I thought to myself, it has to be mentioning my deck as I have rarely seen Hero in many Deadguy decks, let alone elsewhere.

I feel a certain sense of pride that in my local meta (Toronto), Deadguy is now a thing. I have one friend that is currently playing this deck (his other deck is BR reanimator) and another person who knows me and while they are also on Chrome Mox, he tried but didn't like Shriekmaw or Hero of Bladehold.

Weird. I loved the shriekmaw. Just never got time to try chrome mox. Still wanna try it maybe in a junk build. Deck probably wants bob though

Yeah he didn't like the Shriekmaw because of Bob. Biggest reason why he didn't like it, I guess he had the uncanny ability to flip Shriekmaw to Bob in the games he played.

Bob is crucial IMHO. The card advantage is too hard to pass up, plus it's the insane part of Chrome Mox turn 1. Being able to play a Hymn to Tourach, Dark Confidant or Stoneforge Mystic turn 1 is insane. Still doesn't beat my best play ever though with Chrome Mox and land, casting a Thoughtseize and Deathrite Shaman Turn 1. Turn 2, land....Hero of Bladehold go. And it was against Lands. Sure, he had a Maze of Ith but that's not only going to slow the beatdown by a little bit.

Eh. Bob with shriekmaw and BSkull. Bob with stalker. I've played it all. It's fine. Sometimes it happens, but usually it doesn't. Jitte and skull gain you life. Souls gets you there. Plus this deck has so much removal their dudes don't ever deal damage to you

Hero of Bladehold is the best. I have games when I play Bladehold and the oppment just scoops afterwards.

I think I have everything to test your deck but 2 Chrom Mox. I want try out other version of the deck to try it out.

Value with Bloodghast but nothing more :)

I will play in the league final for Legacy in Stockholm this sunday and Deadguy Ale seems good in this meta. So I have made some changes to the deck.

The decks I know will play are:
    4 Miracels
    1 4 color Mentor CounterTop
    1 Goblin
    1 Infect or BUG Still
    1 Painter or Aluren
1 4 color Fauna Shaman toolbox deck
    1 Eldrazi Stompy
    1 Death and Taxes
    1 Bug delver
    and maybe Sneak and show.

Becasue there are so many Miracels I have put SoP in the sideborad and added AD in main again. I also added Shreikmaw in sideborad for Eldrazi, Miracels and SaT. I removed Brutality becasue it's not good in this meta.

    //Main
    4 Dark Confidant
    4 Deathrite Shaman
    2 Grim Flayer
    4 Stoneforge Mystic
    2 Tidehollow Sculler

    1 Vindicate
    3 Lingering Souls
    2 Hymn to Tourach
    4 Thoughtseize

    3 Swords to Plowshares
    3 Abrupt Decay

    2 Liliana of the Veil

    1 Batterskull
1 Sword of Fire and Ice
    1 Sylvan Library
    1 Umezawa's Jitte

    2 Bayou
    1 Forest
    4 Marsh Flats
    1 Plains
    1 Savannah
    4 Scrubland
    1 Swamp
    4 Verdant Catacombs
    3 Wasteland
    1 Windswept Heath

    //Sideboard
    SB: 1 Containment Priest
    SB: 1 Ethersworn Canonist
    SB: 2 Faerie Macabre
    SB: 1 Gaddock Teeg
    SB: 1 Garruk Relentless
    SB: 1 Grafdigger's Cage
    SB: 1 Hymn to Tourach
    SB: 1 Maelstrom Pulse
    SB: 1 Pithing Needle
    SB: 1 Sanctum Prelate
    SB: 1 Shriekmaw
    SB: 1 Swords to Plowshares
    SB: 2 Zealous Persecution

@Wilkin congrats on the tourney. I really like this list. So in a perfect world what are you trying to imprint on a Chrome Mox?

Edit: also Anything from AER catch your eye? Fatal Push looks useful and Yahenni's Expertise looks fun. Curious on your thoughts.

So i'm not Wilkin but i'll give you my 2 cents. In an ideal world it'll probably be a card that has very little effect on the matchup e.g. a vindicate against storm but I think it usually ends up being one of the highest cmc cards in my hand at the time.

    That's pretty much it.

I also rarely imprint Stoneforge Mystic or Dark Confidant. LOL, a big reason is that's usually the card I cast if the Chrome Mox resolves. Even if I have a couple of Bobs or Mystic in hand, I still don't imprint it though as the first 2 drop creature might be countered or killed.

Fatal Push is a really good card. In the main deck though, Swords to Plowshares is already a four of, and I already play Shriekmaws so I can't really fit it in main. I used to play a singleton Disfigure and/or Path to Exile in the board, so if I feel I need a one mana removal card in the board it will probably be a Fatal Push.

Expertise is another good card but I really like Toxic Deluge in that it's one mana cheaper and kills more things I want dead, such as Thought Knot-Seer, Angler or Goyf.

I agree on Fatal Push. Swords to Plowshares is still a better card.

I don't know how good Shrekmaw is as a removel when people starts to play BUG with either cretures that can't be target or are Black.

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I played with Wilkins yesterday with some games aginst Shardless BUG.

    Things I like:
    *Chome Mox
I really like Chrome Mox. One of the issue I had with the deck is that we can have the CA but not the tempo. Chrome Mox felt great and I will try out two in my list.
    *2 Vindicate
Destorying land and planeswalker is nice.

    Didn't like
    *Shirekmaw
Not good removel against Shardless Bug, don't think it's good when the meta has adapet to Fatel Push
    *Inquition of Kozilek and Cabal
Both cards can miss. Rather have Thoughtsezie

I will play the deck more against other decks. It's nice to tryout other version of the deck
