Thoughts on heaven//earth in the sideboard? Kill a few delvers or wipe death and taxes board from the yard.
kozilek's return is still the better option IMO. Double red is not ideal. but the flashback and controlling the damage (with X) could be preferred in some situations.
It's castable from the graveyard, which I think gives it the edge over Koz Return. You can dredge it and still be useful for a ground wipe. Not sure if missing out on fliers in that case makes it bad, but DNT does seem to be mostly fliers.
(Of course there's Raking Canopy in that case)
It hits the relevant creatures (their fliers are mostly just beaters with the random aven mindcensor there to get ya)
Kozilek's Return getting through Mom is pretty relevant tho, and typically we want to reduce our dependency on the graveyard post-board against them anyways.
I said reasonable, not easy. MU is mostly a race anyways, a race I am somewhat confidant of winning with 4 Tinkers and 4 Demonic Tutors.
i'm considering re-testing the black splash in response to unfavorable results against miracles, death & taxes, 4c loam, and the rise of food chain. the idea being i'd rather be more proactive with abrupt decay main and thoughtseize + toxic deluge + dread of night from the board. i'm considering moving some or all of the thoughtseize to the main to ratchet up proactivity with early hand hate.
i'm curious to hear what you think of this and if it's smarter to splash blue for engineered explosives, academy ruins, tolaria west, intuition.
the list i'm considering:
2 Bayou
1 Bojuka Bog
1 Boseiju, Who Shelters All
4 Dark Depths
1 Forest
4 Ghost Quarter
1 Glacial Chasm
3 Maze of Ith
1 Misty Rainforest
3 Taiga
1 The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale
4 Thespian's Stage
2 Verdant Catacombs
4 Wasteland
1 Wooded Foothills
3 Abrupt Decay
4 Crop Rotation
4 Exploration
4 Gamble
4 Life from the Loam
1 Manabond
3 Molten Vortex
4 Mox Diamond
Sideboard:
1 Dread of Night
1 Faerie Macabre
1 Karakas
3 Krosan Grip
1 Sphere of Resistance
4 Thoughtseize
3 Tireless Tracker
1 Toxic Deluge
also, anyone testing walking ballista in the side?
I think blue is giving more than black to the deck. With an recurable Explosives and almost uncounterable Tutor, it is hard for black to compete against the blue addition.
My sideboard is as follow :
4 Sphere of Resistance
2 Chalice of the Void
3 Krosan Grip
1 Walking Ballista
3 Tireless Tracker
2 Phyrexian Revoker
Sphere of Resistence completely shut down Food Chain, and does a pretty good work against Miracle (at least the Mentor version). Against D&T, Krosan Grip and Revoker help a lot because mana-denial is not a super-plan.
Here are my in/out for these 3 MU :
MIRACLE MONASTERY
+3 Grip +3 Tracker +1 Ballista
-1 Mox -4 Crop -1 Bojuka -1 Karakas
MIRACLE ANGELS
+3 Grip +2 Chalice +3 Sphere +3 Tracker +1 Ballista
-4 Crop -3 Vortex -1 Karakas -1 Bojuka -2 Maze -1 Tabernacle
DEATH & TAXES
+3 Grip +2 Revoker (Vial)
-1 Bojuka -1 Karakas -1 Thicket -2 Tolaria
FOODCHAIN
+4 Sphere +3 Grip +2 Revoker (Foodchain/Ballista/Shaman)
-1 Mox -3 Vortex -2 Maze -1 Bojuka -2 Tolaria

I run the black splash as well. My mana config is a little different (6 fetches, 3 taiga, 1 bayou, 1 forest) and it's been good. But otherwise I think theres only like 4 or 5 cards that are different between our 75.
Being able to decay a knight, make them discard a blood moon that they depended on or deluge a whole board of blockers before attacking w/ marit lage makes those cards worth the splash.
For those running the blue splash, see the new Nissa? could do some work.![]()
It's a Decayable permanent that dosent do much more than a Sylvan Library or a Dark Confidant.
Her ultimate is also a bit under expectation in a Marit Lage deck.
She would have been much better with a +2 Scry 2, then draw a card. But sadly she is not.

Supremacy 2020 is the modern era game of nuclear brinksmanship! My blog:

You can play Lands.dec in EDH too! My primer:

I think that Boseiju works best in a straight Rg build with manabonds. Whereas decay is already uncounterable, and as you want to hold on decay until needed, Decay and Manabond don't synergise well. So I'd cut both cards for 2 maindeck Sylvan Libraries, to help you filter out decays when dredging. Library is also a really good card along with loam.
If im not miscounting you run 10 green sources (besides moxes)? That might be too tight, and perhaps you cut cut a maze for an additional green land?
Sorry wrong thread
Ok, so how about this guy in sideboard?
http://mythicspoiler.com/akh/cards/harshmentor.html
Hits basically... everything. Fetches for 3 dmg are especially considerable thing, not to mention Sensei, DRS, Vial... Lots of nasty stuff. Yes, it dies to everything, yes, we don't have free slots in side for sure, but still let's consider that for a moment :)
I think this card will see some home, and we sure will face it at one moment or another. I see it like a "must answer" to any deck that rely on Shaman/Vial/Sensei's Top to grind its way to the victory. It could be the side-board card to go for any deck against Miracle (which do a lot of Shenanigans every time) or D&T which rely a lot on creatures abilities and Vial activation.

The advantage here is that we are already well set up to kill a 2 toughness guy, the disadvantage is if we do not have that ability online when he hits, he hurts a lot.
