Was going to this ... until I realized it was a Sunday.

And Monday is not a holiday for us who are open when the market is :(

Apparently five Jund lists made the Standard top eight, and the Legacy decklists should be out "no later than Monday."

147 people for legacy i think. Cedrick made top 8 with belcher. I also saw NO Thresh, Dredge, CB top, white stax, a Dark Depths combo, and i forget the rest of the top 8.

Did the CBTop-Dark Depths thing make top 8? That guy lost his round 8 match and his opponent definitely did make it. Handful of CBTop-goyfs and 2 combo in the T8. The field had lots of control, lots of stormcombo (especially doomsday?) and not enough zoo to go round. Which made me and my TES a sad panda. That and fucking dragon stompy.
    Great success!

The top 8 was. White Stax vs Dark Depths. Dredge vs 43 land. Blecher vs Canadian Thresh. Bant vs Counter top of some sort. Didnt watch that game too much. Top 4. White Stax vs Dredge. Bant vs Thresh. Top 2 Stax vs Thresh. I don't know who took the trophy but top 4 split the cash.

Dark Depths combo sounds pretty cool actually. Props to the pilot for playing such a deck and having success with it.

I got on here to nurse my ego, but apparently no one has posted my list yet. Since you all want decklists: I was the dredge player:

    4 GOLGARI GRAVE-TROLL
    4 STINKWEED IMP
    3 GOLGARI THUG
    4 TIRELESS TRIBE
    4 NARCOEMEBA
    4 BLOODGHAST
    1 SADISTIC HYPNOTIS
    1 CEPHALID SAGE
    1 FLAME-KIN ZEALOT

    4 BREAKTHROUGH
    4 CARFUL STUDY
    4 CABAL Therapy
    4 BRIDGE FROM BELOW
    3 DREAD RETURN

    4 UNDISCOVERED PARADISE
    4 GEMSTONE MINE
    4 CEPHALID COLOSSEUM
    2 DAKMOR SALVAGE
    1 CITY OF BRASS

    SB
    4 PITHING NEEDLE
    4 CHAIN OF VAPOR
    3 FORCE OF WILL
    2 ANCIENT GRUDGE
    1 ANCESTOR'S CHOSEN
    1 SADISTIC HYPNOTIST

If you are wondering why Bloodghast, I might have a primer/tournament report posted on this site at some point. I lost to exactly 1 deck all day, and it was White Stax. IDK his list, it seemed pretty stock except for Baneslayer Angel, which won him the game against the dark depths deck. He top decked it to block Tombstalker. I wish he wouldn't have. I'm reasonably sure White Stax is one of my worst possible match-ups. We did indeed split the top 4, but that trophy would have been nice.

Nice! When I was in my "what-kind-of-crazy-shit-will-fit-in-Dredge" phase, I briefly considered Force, which I declined to add because it would take away a crucial draw spell or another body for Therapy/DR in Narc. Great job, did you use it that much all day in g2/g3?

No Landstill lists, makes me a sad panda.

Interesting top 16. No landstill in the top 16 = frown town but congrats to everyone. Glad to see someone doing well with stax and hexmage + depths.

I find the Hexmage-list fucked up; MD Confidant seems like a no-brainer and no pinpoint discard outside Therapy seems meh. It really seems too built around Bloodghast, which admittedly is decent but can't carry the whole deck. That said, the heavy LD package makes sense. I wonder why no Life from the Loam since he's already in black though.

Grim Discovery feels quite weak; Volrath's + Life is a much better engine for LD-heavy builds. That said, I prefer the Sui Black shell. But yeah, for a slower shell, that seems good. Scoops to combo tho.

That TOP8 is particular. It profites fully from the new cards: enemy fetches for BUG CBT, Bloodghast for 2 different decks, BSA for WStax. But a lot of these decks are just not enough good against Zoo, but better against Merfolk.

And... same thoughts as Eldariel about the Eva Green/Dark depths.dec, it has some really debatable choices.

Neverthless, a big congratz to those guys, mostly the CT and CB players to win through all these so-so MUs. And congratz to Cedric... CT is a pain for his deck.

I heard Cedric thought he was the best legacy player in the room. Belcher is a deck that plays itself...I'd expect better from a "pro". What a douche.

While Cederic can be arrogant he can also have card access issues. Or maybe he saw that FOW wasn't that popular which makes belcher real good.

I hope Cedric knew he was going to play against Canadian Thresh and still decided to not split the money.
