I ran a $5 8 person side tourney for 4 diff zendikar fetchlands. Ben Lukas won that.

Did some drafts too.

I was very happy with the turnout given the short notice. Thirty people is what I based the prizes on, so I was happy to hit that number.

People generally seemd to have a great time. My only regret is losing my digital camera in Texas =( Will have to buy a new one so I can capture some of these moments.

Anyway thanks a ton. I will have decklists up later in the week as always.

There will be another one sooner rather than later. Will have updates for that also.

i sooooo should have took the top 4 split, but of coarse i got greedy, thinking luck was on my side, went into top 4 knowing my opp was a bad match up.

but hey, i guess a set of badlands for $24 is never bad :P.

I think tendrils is probably a bad match up for any deck preboard lol... True story though Joe you should have split, then again hindsight is 20/20. Its great to see everyone had fun personally this was my first descent size tourny back in about eight months and it was clear Dave has made alot of improvements since taking the store over.
Seriously though Joe your deck was really cool and for the record spell pierce would have completely taken me by surprise if you had drawn it. Hopefully Dave will post lists soon I'm curious about a few decks in the top 8.

very long and boring games of creatures attacking then changing their minds mid-combat... kinda sucked i didnt get to cast kira/gigapede either game, this matchup was the only reason giga is even here, basically if you have 5 more mana sources than they have ports, he will win the game. game 1 didnt see a sotf, g2 didnt get the needle for the ports in time for it to really matter.

i fow his hypergensis both games after he cascades for it, gg. funny thing is game 2 at the time he combo'd out, i had an akroma + painters servant in hand, so had the genesis resolved i would of had a 6/6 protection from everything swinging for 10 a turn from exalted.

game 1 i kept a mediocre hand with 3 survivals and a brainstorm thinking ill be able to shuffle the other 2 away, he drops his singleton bloodmoon t2 and i fail to draw my basic forest. game 2 i dont remember much other than it involved pridemages and me wining, game 3 i t1 needle on grove then drop trygon ftw...

both games i have perfect hands of hierarch, survival- would have been great against anything that doesnt kill me before my first survival activation...
looking back, i should have mulled to a force or teeg, looking back even further i should have taken the split.

playing ugw survival is by far the funnest thing I've done in this format since i was stacking my deck with a goblin ringleader every four cards...

As for the pizza, last time people said they really liked it. I will probably switch to different pizza for the next event, as I'm going all out on it so might as well make sure the food is the nuts too

Figured I would announce that on here while people are still waiting for decklists from this event. Will have those up tomorrow (I promise :p).

Got some questions at this past event about results not ging in for the first Buncha Duals tourney back in Sept., just wanted to let people know it finally got uploaded. Was an error that WOTC corrected.

Final update worth mentioning is I has a real web-site now. DHGRI.com is now more than an extension of my facebook thanks to web whiz Joe Harrington.

The wait is over... I don't have the decklists :p

I searched high and low for them, turns out one of my guys accidentally threw them out.

If you're looking for standard tech, decklists from magic game day held this past Saturday will be up on magicthegathering.com this week.

Sorry there are no decklists for this one, that's the first and last time it will happen.
