Yes. The same way I side it out against Elves or agroo Affinity.

    Re: [DTB] Goblins

is there still a reason to play mono red in the current environment?

    Re: [DTB] Goblins

if you run Anarchy in the sideboard against Moat, Humility, Rip/Helm Combo and a Chieftain main vs Engineered Plague then mono red is absolutely viable. but do not run fetchlands ;)

But Krosan Grip gets the Job done, too and is uncounterable. So if you do not fear Stifle splash green for Tin Street Hooligan, Grips and/or Grudges.

What is the matter about stifle and fetchlands? Would you rather get your matron/ringleader stifled? If they are playing stifle they have plenty of targets against goblins anyway, stifle should not influence your decision to splash colors.

Well, things don't work that way...
Having fetchlands means that they can trade a cc1 spell to rob one of your manasources. This isn't necessarily a problem as long as you can still bring your goblins into play e.g. with Vial or by drawing more lands. However, if they countered your Vial in early turns you are guite fucked. In this position you are playing a game that you can hardly win: You cast a creature, they cast a creature. WIthout Vial they can easily restrict your creature-output to 1 creature per turn. Thats when you start losing the game...
So Stifle is only a problem if you don't have Vial and/or more lands. Lands win this MU, thats an important thing to realize when making judgements about the usefulness of Stifle. I'm not saying that they will always use Stifle on fetchlands - neither do I say they will never do it. Things aren't black-and-white.

Omg. 1st part of Brazils Nationals was today. Beat 3 SnT (Sneak, Omni and Sneak), Lands, UW Energy/Rip/Miracle, and a weird deck with Faithless Looting, Hakoon, KotR and weird stuff. Lost to Maverick and ID with Canadian to a 6-1-1 into 4th place.
Tomorrow morning will play Sneak and Tell on top 8 of 5 games. Wish me luck.

Dude, that's Awesome! I also played in a tourney today (though nowhere near as big a deal as Brazilian Nationals) and I also had a lot of success, going 3-0-2 in the Swiss and losing in a Goblin mirror match in the Finals, 5-1-2 overall and I picked up a Scrubland for my efforts. I impressed a lot of people with my SnT>MWM>ETB Trigger>KGrip Omniscience play.

Best of luck in the Top 8!

I'm sandbagging a K-Grip with G2 up. My opponent casts Show and Tell. He puts in Omniscience. I put in and card with an ETB trigger (in this case MWM, but it could also have been Stingscourger, Matron, Ringleader, SGC, etc.) Omni and MWM are in play and the MWM EtB trigger is on the stack. My opponent has priority (it is his turn, after all) but he can't use Omniscience to cast non-Instants because these is something currently on the stack (the MWM EtB trigger). Priority passes to me so the EtB trigger can resolve, but while I have priority I cast KGrip on his Omniscience. He can't respond to the KGrip because of Split Second, Omni goes to the graveyard, the EtB trigger resolves, and priority passes back to my opponent with nothing to show for his SnT.

    Voila.

It's a restricted event, and you need to qualify (playing some smaller tournaments) in order to participate. This year's edition had 151 players.

    Tournament Report!

I gotta write this up because it's my best showing in a while. Played at the Big 1.5 tourney at the Monster's Den in south Minneapolis yesterday. I had a great day and things went really well for me. Here's the list...

    4 Lackey
    4 Vial
    1 Skirk Prospector
    4 Gempalm
    3 MWM
    3 Thalia
    2 Piledriver
    1 Stingscourger
    1 Tin-Street hooligan
    4 Warchief
    4 Matron
    1 Sharpshooter
    4 Ringleader
    1 Krenko
    1 Siege-Gang Commander

    4 Wasteland
    2 Plateau
    1 Taiga
    1 Karakas
    4 Mountain
    4 Cavern of Souls
    6 Fetch

    Sideboard
    4 Chalice of the Void
    1 Surgical Extraction
    3 Rest in Peace
    2 Krosan Grip
    1 Seal of Cleansing
    1 Pithing Needle
    3 Pyrokinesis

    R1 Tim with Omnitell
G1 - Tim's playing Omnitell today. I lose to a Show and Tell that puts Omni, Jace, and Emrakul in play. Woof. I actually survive the Emrakul attack with a board presence thanks to MWM, but he Wishes for Petals of Insight and I die. If he didn't have that Wish he also could have bounced Emrakul with Jace and taken another turn and win anyway.
I side out 4 Gempalms, 1 Sharpshooter and bring in 2 KGrips, 1 Seal, 1 Needle, 1 Surgical. Needle is there to shut off Griselbrand. Surgical is just there to maybe strip his sculpting spells. Really, it's just More relevant than Sharpshooter here.
G2 I land an early Vial and Thalia while Tim sculpts. He casts a Burning Wish for Pyroclasm. I hit him with Thalia. He casts the Pyroclasm to open up an infinite Omnicience > Petals of Insight win. Next turn I vial in a Ringleader. I leave my mana open because I have 2 KGrips plus a MWM in hand. Tim sculpts a bit more on his turn. I rip a Karakas and now I have the Stone-Cold Nuts. I play the Karakas. His BEST line of play is now SnT > Griselbrand > Draw 7, but that will put him too low on life to survive my goblin assault. On his turn Tim finally goes for it. He casts SnT which resolves. He puts in Omniscience, I put in MWM with G2 up. I ask "ETB Trigger?" pointing to the MWM. Tim says sure. When Priority passes to me I KGrip the Omniscience. A judge is called and what just happened is explained. Tim tries to play a second Omni off the SnT Omni while he has priority (which I could have called foul on and really probably should have, since priority clearly passed to me when Tim said it was OK for MWM's trigger to resolve), but I point out that the MWM trigger is on the stack so Tim can't cast non-instants anyway, so Priority passes to me and I KGrip the Omni away. There is much flabbergastery among the spectators of this match. I must now thank my fellow Sourcers for Discussing this play with me. I don't recall if I brought up this play or if someone else did, but it worked pretty damn slick, and it would not have worked if I just had the KGrip and no ETB trigger. I pull out the W next turn.
G3 I keep a decent Thalia hand. Tim casts a Burning Wish and counts 13 cards in his sideboard, and he promptly concedes.
    1-0

    R2 Alex with Goblins
G1 We've got ourselves a mirror match this round, only where I'm playing Rwg with 3 Thalia main Alex is playing Rb with a much less Wasteland-able manabase. Alex is also playing 3 SGC, 2 Krenko, 4 Cheiftain, and Winstigators, and probably 2o lands to my 22. In other words, he's the favorite in this match. Regardless, I win the roll and start with a T1 Vial. He has no T1 play. His big play is the T2 Winstigator, but I'm able to control the board and tempo with my Vial and removal, and I take this one pretty easily.
I side out 3 Thalia and a Piledriver and I bring in 3 Pyrokinesis and Surgical. I Surgical isn't a great card, but if I can use it on an early Matron, Ringleader, Gempalm or SGC it should give me a real CA boost over the course of the game, and the mirror-match is all about CA. Game 2 is similar to game 1. I'm able to go for the Vial start and control the tempo. I actually draw the Surgical at one point and use it on the Pyrokinesis in his yard, figuring that I'll get two or three out of his deck which should help in future messy combat phases. Turns out he only runs 2. Oh well, I win anyway.
    2-0

R3 Bennet the Barbarian with ANT
G1 I completely forget what Bennet is playing, even though I played against him a week and a half ago and he was on ANT at the time. I mull to 5 on the draw before finding a keepable hand with Vial. Bennet doesn't go off the first 3 turns and I manage to lucksac into a Thalia which I vial in and it basically wins the game for me. Luck luck luck luck luck.
I side out 4 Gempalm, Stingscourger, Sharpshooter, TSH and 1 MWM and side in 4 Chalice, 3 Rest in Peace, 1 Surgical.
G2 I don't remember what happened, but I'm guessing I just got more than my fair share of luck this time around since I don't have any notes about Chalice or any other hate cards hitting play. I did keep my starting 7 so it was clearly a playable hand. Bennet just blanks and I pick up another W.
    3-0

At this point I wanted to just draw in to top 8, but I get paired down and have to play it out.

    R4 Jared with Esperblade
G1 I'm on the play and keep my 7, while Jared mulls to 6. I have a good start and am able to control the tempo of the match to take home the W.
I side out Thalias and a random gobbo and bring in Grips, Seal, and Needle. My plan is basically to use the green and white spells to shut off his Equipment and E Plagues, then use my higher threat density to get the W.
G2 I manage to deal with an early Jitte but Jared had double E Plague that just fucked over my chances winning. I'm pretty sure an Engineeded Explosives also took out a Needle and 2 Vials along the way. L
G3 is long and grindy. Jared is on his way to killing me with a Jace Ultimate when we run out of extra turns. I wind up getting the draw anyway.
    3-0-1
Gotta say, Esperblade is pretty rough. At least this round was.

R5 - Yu with UW Miracle Control
Yu and I are the top seeds, so Yu and I agree to draw but play a round just for fun. Yu and I also come up with a fun Who's On First skit. Not really though.
G1 I'm on the draw and keep my 7 while Yu mulls to 5. I land a T1 Vial and T2 Cavern and pretty much do what I want. W
I sideboard pretty much the same as I did R4.
G2 I was on the draw and mulled to 6 while Yu kept his 7. He Miracled an Entreat for 2 at one point, but I was able to Stingscourger one Angel and burn out the other with a Gempalm when it blocked an attacking goblin. W
    4-0-1

    Top 8
Quarter Finals - Rematch with Bennett the Barbarian playing ANT
G1 I mull to 6 on the play and keep a Lackey hand. Bennet kills me T2. We do squabble a little when he miscounts his mana at one point, but he has enough to kill me.
I side the same as before.
G2 I keep an opening 7 with Rest in Peace, Lackey, Piledriver and others. I lead with Lackey. Bennett Duresses me and the only target is RiP. T2 I Lackey in the Piledriver. Bennett sculpts. T3 I rip a Chalice and now have to choose between playing it for 1 or 0. Bennett seems to be on the sculpting plan, and if he had 0 drops he probably would have dumped them already to play around Thalia or Chalice. So if I set Chalice @ 0 he'll be able to keep sculpting and will avoid the 0 drops, and I know he plays Chain of Vapors so a Chalice @ 0 will be plenty bounceable. I set Chalice @ 1 to cut off his Dark Rituals and scultping spells and bounce. I beat Bennett down to 10 with Lackey and Piledriver. At 10 life he decides he has to go for it. He casts a Dark Rit which is countered by Chalice. Then he casts a Cabal Ritual for BBB. Then, with 6 cards in the graveyard he casts another Cabal Ritual and adds five more mana to his mana pool. I call a judge, since CR doesn't count itself for Threshold. The judge confirms and Bennett goes down to 4 mana in his pool which isn't enough for him to go off and he scoops. W
G3 I mull to 5 on the draw and Bennett keeps his starting 7. I don't know what Bennett does T1, but I played a Vial and Chalice @ 0. Vial ticks up while Bennett keeps not going off. When Vial is at 2 I EOT vial in Piledriver, then on my turn I tick it up to 3, Vial in Warchief, cast MWM and attack for 11. Bennett blanks again on his turn. W
    5-0-1

Semis - Terrible Tyler playing Food Chain Combo
Tyler the Terrible (Aka metamet http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/s...n-Combo/page18 ) has been brewing and improving the Food Chain / Misthollow Griffin combo for some time now. I last played against him when he first started out with the list and from following the thread on the Source I've seen that it has been drastically evolving over time, and Tyler has been having a lot success with it at the Monster's Den. I was extremely interested to see how this would play out.
G1 I landed a T1 Thalia that couldn't attack through Tyler's T1 Deathrite Shaman, but my T2 Thalia presented the Food Chain deck with a real problem since he couldn't use his cantrips to cheaply sculpt while also developing his board. I hardcast a Krenko and started generating Goblins while Sharpshooter and Gempalm kept his board in check. He couldn't find a Food Chain and I took the W.
I sided in KGrips and took out TSH and Stingscourger. I think I also brought in some Pyrokinesis.
G2 was a bit of a rout. I landed an early Thalia while Tyler had kept a hand heavy with non-creature spells. Tyler Pondered T1, I think. I played Cavern naming Goblins and Lackey T1. Tyler played Sylvan Library T2. I played Cavern naming Human and cast Thalia. I think Tyler resolved a Fierce Empath T3, but I burned it out and connected with Lackey and dropped in a SGC. That allowed me to run the board for the W.
    6-0-1

Finals - Mirror Rematch with Alex with Goblins.
G1 pretty much sucked for me. I mulled to 6 on the draw and kept an opener with Vial, Skirk, Thalia, Gempalm and Lands. Not good at all, but still better than mulling to 5. Well, I drew 2 more Vials and lands. L.
    Sided the same as before
G2 I mulled to 6 again, this time to a 1 land hand that only had Wasteland and not Vial. I almost got back in it, but when I drew Surgical late game at 4 life and used it to remove his SGCs for the game his hand revealed the Tarfire he needed to finish me off.
    6-1-1

I walked away with a Scrubland for my troubles. The deck performed excellently. I really enjoyed the white and green splash. KGrip was awesome. Thalia did a LOT of work this tourney. I still need to figure out which MUs she needs to stay in though. Probably more than I've been playing her in.

    Re: [DTB] Goblins

So, after the 6-1-1 yesterday, lost on the top8 =/. The report will not be so cool, once most of my games were boring, but there are some cool moments.
There were, like Said, 154 people, and probably the largest tournament I’ve ever played.

The list was tweaked the last two days. This is how it turned out:

    3 Rishadan Port
    4 Wasteland
    4 Cavern of Souls
    11 Mountain

    4 Aether Vial
    4 Goblin Lackey
    4 Goblin Matron
    4 Goblin Ringleader
    4 Goblin Warchief
    3 Mogg Warmarchall
    3 Goblin Piledriver

    1 Skirk Prospector
    1 Sharpshooter
    1 Goblin Chieftain
    2 Siege-Gang Commander
    1 Krenko, Mob Boss

    3 Gempalm Incinerator
    1 Stingscourger
    2 Tarfire

    SIDEBOARD:
    4 Relic of Progenitus
    3 Knesis
    3 Confusion in the Ranks
    4 Thorn of Amethyst
    1 Tuktuk Scrapper

Tarfires were last minute additions due do Bug delvers and decks with Deathrite Shaman. They were Gempalm and MWM No 4.
The side had 2 Surgicals, that were swapped for 4th Relic and 4th Thorn, due to Deathrite/Goyf/KotR decks, and Thorn against SnT and UW.

    Match 1- Sneak Show
Game 1 – He led with a cantrip. I know what He is on, and kept a Lackey hand. Played it of Caverns. He played a 2nd basic Island. I played Waste, hit, drop SGC, and played Prospector. He got Sneak into play, and attacked with Emrakul. I sacced everything but Lackey and SGC. I attacked and dropped Chieftain. He didn’t find a R source for 2 turns, and lost (had used Petal + Simian Spirit Guide last turn).
    SB: -5 Removal, -1 Shooter, -1 Ringleader, +4 Thorn, +3 Confusion.
Game 2 – I kept Port+Waste+Vial+Thorn+dudes. He start with Ancient Tomb, which I waste. He actually drops 4 lands through the game, and I drop 4 Vials. Not looking good for anyone. But I find a Matron that finds a Ringleader that Finds Matron, and I’m able to kill him before He does anything relevant. I Drew Confusion sometime during the match.
    1-0
    Match 2 – Omnitell
Game 1 – I keep a slow hand, and He SnTs turn 2 or 3 and wins.
    SB: The same.
Game 2 – I keep hand with the land denial plan. Vial resolves. He plays island and cantrip. Thorn gets Dazed. 2nd one resolves on my next turn. The other one I Port him, and by my turn 5 he is dead (Lackey of the top, Warchief, Piledriver and MWM).
Game 3 – I mull to 5 trying to find something. I settle for 2x Piledriver, 2x Mountain, 1 Port. Let’s pray. T1 I draw Prospector, cast and it resolves. He plays cantrips for 2 turns with 2 Basic Islands. I draw Lackey T2, play Port, hit for 1, then Lackey. He let it resolves. His upkeep I sac Prospector for R to use Port. He plays Ancient Tomb and Intuitions for 3 SnT. I draw Mountain, hit, get Pilly into play, and Port his Tomb. He draws and passes. I draw lands for 3 turns, while Piledrivers hit him. He draws non lands non cantrips cards, and dies horribly with SnT, multiple Omnisciences and combo cards in his hand. I’ll take the lucky win anytime.
    2-0

    Match 3 – GW Maverick
Game 1 – He is on the play, and cast T1 Mother, T2 Stoneforge for Jitte, T3 Zenith for 0 and pass. I play Vial, Piledriver and Chiftain, which gets StP (think that a mistake from his part). His turn He cast Pridemage and explode my Vial (becoming tapped out. Again, mistake I think). I Vial Sting targeting Stoneforge, that resolves. My turn I play Warchief and Piledriver #2, leaving me with only Skirk Prospector on my hand. He Takes 7 from a Pilly + Warchief, blocking the other. He finds a 4th land, plays Stoneforge and Ooze. My turn I kill him.
SB: +.. oh, how I did it:, Right... Drew a Ringleader, and cast it with 1 mana open. Drew MWM and Sharpshooter. After some math, GG. Got it? Try to figure it out alone first. This is what happened: Cast Prospector, sac Ringleader, cast MWM, sac it and a Token for Shooter, attack with everything but Shooter. Tap it to Kill Matron. He responds protecting Ooze. I sac the token and kill Arbor, ping Ooze, sac Prospector, ping Ooze again, untap, ping Stoneforge. Mom dies afterall, I untap, ping Stoneforge again, and finish wiping his board clean. He takes 20.
    SB: +3 Kinesis, +1 Tuktuk, +3 Relic, -4 Lackey, -2 Piledriver, -1 MWM.
Game 2 – I mull into a quite avarage 6, without Mountains. He starts with Zenith, then cast Mom + Library T2. I cast RelicT1, andI topdeck a Mountain to Tarfire Mom. He plays Stone into Jitte and Qasali. I pop Relic, but don’t find the answer for that so fast, and Jitte buries me after a Wasteland next turn.
    SB: +3 Kinesis, +1 Tuktuk, - 3 Piledriver, -1 MWM.
Game 3 – I mull again, and don’t find a fast start (Mountain, Waste, MWM, Gempalm, Gempalm, Matron). He plays T1 Mom, T2 Stoneforge into Jitte. I can’t find lands to save my life, and a Wasteland buries me.
    2-1

    Match 4 – Lands
Game 1 – I know what He is on, so Mull into a fast hand. Lackey gets in there after Wasting a maze, getting Warchief + Piledriver. He Loams Maze back, but another Pilly + MWM are enought to finish it in 2 turns, when He doesn’t find Tabernacle.
    SB: +4 Relic, +1 Tuktuk, -3 Gempalm, -1 Tarfire, -1 Stingscourger
Game 2: He plays Exploration and a land. I play Vial. He plays 2 lands and K. Grip. I play Lackey and Relic. His next turns He gets some Mazes down. I play lands followed by MWM, Chieftain and Ringleader, revealing nothing. He finds a Loam, but I pop Relic in response of it. Inspite of 2 Mazes, I’m getting in 4 per turn. I draw nothing for the next 3 turns. Unfortunatly, for him, He Dredges for Loam, hitting 2x Bob and Krosan Grip. Next turn, He Dredges it again, milling Oblivion Stone, Chalice of the Void, Engineered Explosives. That buys me enough time to kill him with the guys I had.
    3-1

    Match 5 – UW Miracle/RiP/Field
Game 1 – I keep Vial hand, knowing what He is on (the miracle part only). The game is quite slow, since I play around a bunch of stuff. 2 Matrons finds 2 Ringleaders, that finds bunch of goblins, while the table has 3 at most at all times. The last turn I port him twice, and He fetchs once. I decided to GO for the kill since He had to had Terminus into his first 3 cards on top. Warchief+2x Pilly, and He didn’t have it.
SB: +4 Thorn, +1 Tuktuk (though He had Shackles for some reason), -3 Gempalm, -1 Stingscourger, -1 Tarfire.
Game 2 – He Fows a T1 Vial, But I have T2 Vial , into T3 Thorn, T4 Port. He stumble on lands a little with the help from Port. A Lackey gets StPd. 2 turns later I Vial Warchief, then Ringleader, getting him to 14. He plays Rest in Peace, and I realize I might lose next turn. Luckly He had only W open, so I was safe to Vial in another Ringleader, Cast Matron, then Piledriver, and kill him right there. Phew. He had na Energy Field for next turn, but wanted to play around Wasteland once He had nonbasics there.
    4-1

    Match 6 – Graveyard deck.
Game 1 – I’m on the draw, keeping Lackey, 2x Mountain, Waste, Matron, Warchief, Gempalm. He thinks for sometime before keeping, than plays Badlands into Top. I draw Mountain, get some balls, and Waste him. He draws, flip Top, and pass. SUCESS! I play Lackey. He passes. I attack, get Warchief and cast Matron into Ringleader. He plays Mox Diaomnd now, and use Top, flip, plays Badlands and Faithless Looting, discarding Hakoon and something else. Ringleader finds Piledriver and He pretty much dies. (had He not played Faithless looting, I’d be blind to what He is playing here).
SB: +2 Kinesis, +3 Relic, -3 Piledriver (because of L. Souls) -1 Tarfire, -1 Chieftain.
Game 2 – He discards my hand a little bit this time, and I start slow, Wasteleanding him, and getting Wastelanded, but get a Vial in a few turns. Unfortunately he plays Faithless Looting, getting a pretty much nothing on the yard but playing a 9/9 Relicary. Vial goes to 1, while I get a 2nd land for the 3rd time, and take 9. Vial goes to 2. My hand has Gempalm, Matron, Tarfire and Kinesis, but no 3rd land, so I take 9 again, going to 2. He floods a little bit, but has Maze. When Vials GO to 3, and I plano n getting Stingscourger to buy some time. I Draw Relic, so instantly I Kinesis his Knight, then play and pop Relic. He does nothing. Matron finds Ringleader, but I draw Krenko, so decide to pass. Unfortunately my Krenko gets Nameless Inverssioned. Ringleader tough gets me some dudes and some damage. He draws some guys then, but I manage to swarm him and take him to 0.
    5-1

    Match 7 – Sneak Show
Game 1 – I keep Vial, Waste, Mountain, Port, Piledriver, Chiftain, Gempalm. He mulls to 5, playing Tomb. I Waste it. He doesn’t find a land for the next 3 turns and scoop. Better luck than good.
    SB: Same as other SnT.
Game 2 – I mull. He FoW’s a T1 Lackey. I Port him T2, Play Vial and Port T3. T4 I Double Port, while He is stuck with only 3 lands. My only action is Matron, that finds Ringleader (both from Vial), that finds me a Piledriver only. Since I played lands all turns up until now, drawing only lands and a Confusion in the Ranks, He Pyroclasms my board with his open land + Petal). I topdeck Matron, play my 7th land, then Matron into Krenko, Vialing it eot. He cantrips. I attack for 1 and pass. He plays Tomb, Petal and Sneak Attack, and pass (had 2 Volcanics that I was tapping). I make 2 Goblins from Krenko eot. My turn is awesome. I tap 5 lands, cast Confusion in the Ranks. It resolves. I swap it for Sneak Attack. R on the pool, Sneak in a hasty Piledriver (my only dude in hand), that attacks with Matron, Krenko and 2 tokens for a total of 15, that is Just a little more than he had. Turns out Sneak Attack is pretty good in goblins. =]
    6-1

    Match 8 – Canadian
    ID with a friend.
    6-1-1

    Top8: Sneak Show.
Game 1 – I’m on the play, and my 6 is actually decent. T1 Vial, into Port, into Waste, while Vial drop Piledriver than Chieftain, then Ringleader into casting GempalmIncinerator, and thats enough.
SB: Same as the other THREE SHOW AND TELL DECKS I HAD PLAYED ALREADY. Really, half my MU’s against this. That’s quite boring.
    Game 2 – He T1 Tomb+Petal+SnT+Emrakul. I had no Stingscourger in hand.
Game 3 – I Keep Mountain, Waste, Port, Thorn, Vial and 2 dudes. Maybe should have mulliganed, but the plan had worked before trought the swiss. He cantrips T1, FoW’s the Thorn, and Tombs+Petal+yadayada I die his T2.
Game 3 – I mull into + Piledriver +2x Mountain, + 2x Port + Confusion in the Ranks. My T2 I draw Vial, but Port, then T3 Vial + Port. His T3 he has a tapped land and a Mountain. He plays Tomb+Petal + Sneak Attack. Crap. I draw a land, and pass. He swings with a 11/11 infecting collossus, and I die... Nice 3 hands He had there (and showed me the FoW backup).

And that’s that. Got 4 Scrublands for it. Quite disapointing losing to that match, but that’s magic right... In the end, the Sneak Show I won round 7 ended up winning the whole thing.

I really liked my deck and think it can be quite good on the Field. Maybe swapping 4 Thorns for 4 Needles could have been Just as good against UW Miracles, but better against Sneak show, but then, it would be worse against Omniscience. Maybe running 4 Confusion and 3 Needle would have been correct.
Have to point out that Angel of Dispair would not have won any game there, but Krosan Grip would have won both the games Confusion showed up (2nd in Match 7 and 4th on Top8). Maybe next time I’ll splash G then? Don’t know...

Wanted to give you guys a more exciting report, but that’s what I got.
Thanks for the support. Really appreciate it.

    Re: [DTB] Goblins

Want Scrublands they said, Play Goblins they said.

    List I've been rolling with

    Core 21
    -1 Siege Gang Commander

    4 Gempalm Incenerator
    4 Goblin Piledriver
    2 Mogg Warmarshall
    1 TukTuk Scrapper
    1 Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker
    1 Goblin Sharpshooter
    1 Stingscourger
    1 Goblin Warchief
    1 Skirk Prospector

    Land: 23
    4 Mountain
    4 Rishadan Port
    4 Wasteland
    4 Cavern of Souls
    3 Arid Mesa
    2 Bloodstained Mire
    2 Taiga

    Sideboard
    4 Pyroblast
    3 Krosan Grip
    3 Ancient Grudge
    3 Pyrokenesis
    1 Anarchy
    1 Red Elemental Blast

Sideboard is wonky but my meta has been small enough as of late to allow for it (8 people , hopefully it'll pick up after the holidays), but that is neither here nor there. I've wanted to give Kiki-Jiki a try again after cutting him for a 4th Gempalm, the miracles decks in the area have actually started to board in against me, meaning I have to actually try and win (although all one did was put in a Sphere of Law....dunno why he thought that would work)

    Re: [DTB] Goblins

@jrw1985: I was a lot more active on the goblins thread some months back, and I recall you strongly advocated a mono red build back then. I would like to hear your reasoning on the pros and cons of the current build with white and green splash vs the mono red lists you used to run, before I decide whether to hitch a ride.
