Re: [HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT] mtgTheSource.com's 5 Year Anniversary Tourney!!!

Lol. Just printed all the driving directions i need for this trip. 10 pages. Could have been worse if i i'd had to pick everyone up at their own houses instead of just one pickup stop.

If we get stuck in trafic for more then the single hour i'm "padding" into our travel time, which number should i call to try to (i stress try, cause i dont think you should let anyone) get you guys to postpone the start of the tourny by a few minutes? It realy shouldn't happen, but just in case...

Anyone know if Gas is cheaper in MA or in NY? Should i fill up before leaving or leave the tank half full as it is now, and fill up once we're in NY?

10 Pages! Did you check the avoid highway box? Seriously when we went to the vancouver washington tournement, it was about 8k miles, took 3 weeks, with stops all over the country and that was only 11 pages. How the hell did you get to 10 pages?

1 page, my house to Alan's where i'm picking him and justin up.
2 pages text directions from worcester to the tournament.
1 page map of the last few turns of that drive (highways i'm fine with text, but little streets i want a map)
2 pages text directions from worcester to the tournament (cause i must have printed it twice by accident)
1 page, text directions from tourny site to hotel
1 page, map of that drive, just in case.
1 page, text directions from hotel to worcester
1 page, map of the first few turns of that drive to get to the highways.

Ok, so i printed the 2 pager twice somehow, so its only needs to be 8 pages realy, now that i actualy look through the stack.

QFTFT! It's like $1,000,000 a gallon there! [Only slight exaggeration]

Right now gas is at 2.91. I don't think that is quite 1,000,000 dollars. I know that gas is high over here, but it can't be that much more if any than Mass. Plus, I rather live in New York than Mass. any day.

Ah, $2.91 isn't bad, I just remember the ridiculousness of the gas at the $1k. As for the MA/NY living thing, to each his own I guess, I love living on the Cape.

I predict that everyone will have a good time [/wussiest prediction ever].

If this tournament goes like most of my big Legacy tournaments, I will be in contention for much of the day, but a couple tough (possibly early) losses will exclude me from the top 8 or 16 or whatever they're doing. I'm predicting 20th.

Someone PLEASE bring a camera. I want to see pics of matches and people and stuff. Especially the debauchery afterward.

You can call me if you want, but it's not going to help you. PM me if you want the number.

The tournament will start promptly at 11. Decklist collection and announcements will give you till 11:15 at best, after that you can enter with a round loss.

I will have a camera to pass around, plus my phone camera (which can take crappy video too).

I'm pretty sure Nightmare said he is going to be filming a lot of it. And I'm sure plenty of other people will have cameras (or the video and non-video variety).

As someone who has lived in both Mass and New York extensively, I can say that the winner is Virginia. Haha, joking aside, New York kicks the shit out of Mass.

AFAIK, there's at least one person bringing a video camera (Ray, are you still bringing yours?), because I plan to spend my day doing feature match videos.

So, expect that eventually. And by eventually, I mean somewhere WAY off, cause I've got no idea what I'm doing.

wikipedia sais that total tax on a gallon of Gas is almost 18 cents more in NY then in MA. So i guess i'll fill up in MA, and see how far that takes us. Though with over 250 miles one way, i'll probably have to fill up in NY anyway.

If you look at the gasbuddy.com averages for MA and NY, the NY average is indeed right around 18 cents more.
