I agree that posting about every single magic event in the know universe is kind of a bit ridiculous. I would even go so far to say that a Standard PTQ on the same day as a Vintage event is no big deal.
That said, there are at least two main difference which make grwoing frustration from Scott(Madpeep), myself, and other relevant.
1.) The overlap in players for Vintage and Legacy is larger than for other combinations of two formats like a Standard PTQ and an Eternal event.
2.) The events have been within 1 hour of each other.
To prove that this argument goes both ways, two weeks after Madpeep's comments here, I encouraged Caleb to not hold a Vintage event on the date of this very event. Had he not listened and held the event there, you would be out at least two if not many more players.
I apologize if this is becoming confrontational. You all know I have nothing more than promoting the growth of both formats in mind.
I've now confirmed that i'm going to this.
If anyone from Worcester (or anywhere along 146) needs a ride, send me a PM.
For those of you that said they were going and did not, you don't know what you missed. The store was very easy to find (props to Feinstien and not mapQuest). The owners were top knotch and knew what they were doing.
There were 24 or 25 players with 5 rounds cutting to Top 8. The rounds started on time with no problems that I noticed. From what I understand, every week they will be running a large tournament like this one(Type 2,Extended, Legacy, and Vintage) I definetly am planning on attending the legacy event and maybe 1 or 2 more a month, depending on funds and tournaments in the area. Great Job to everybody at Die Hard Games for running their first of many top knotch tournies and to Dave Feinstien for standing up for the store.

Somewhere around 25? I remember one of the owners saying they came up short 40 bucks, which isn't bad at all.
The store itself is the fucking TITS. Possibly the best Magic store I've been too. Really great ambiance and awesome guys running everything.
Congrats on everyone who top 8'd. I think there are going to be some pictures posted soon?
From the looks of it, this tournament was awesome. Sorry I couldn't be there. I'll definitely make an attempt to make the next one.

The tourney was a blast. It was fun meeting alot of Sourcers.
I lost in top 8 to Dreadstill, as did Teh Shay. We're vintagey (it's a word :p) which meant some format unfamiliarity, but overall I was happy with my list.

Speaking of the store...
Store was ballin'The store is an excellent place to play throughout the week. Lots of sanctioned events, great owners and a good atmosphere make all events at die hard games a pleasure. Thanks for everything.Great Job to everybody at Die Hard Games for running their first of many top knotch tourniesI wasn't kidding when I said this place kicked ass =DThe store itself is the fucking TITS. I'm glad that everyone had a good time. Die-hard games deserves all teh credit for putting on a fantastic first major tourney. They had just opened and the owners couldn't have been happier with the way things went. Teh judge, Brad Ruxton (A.K.A. Carebear) also deserves credit, even though he's a pain in my ass =p
So again thanks to everyone who came. I know the store appreciated it. I also appreciated it, being a long-time gamer who has been trying to bring attention to them since it opened, because it really is the best store I've ever been to.
That's it for now. I had a great time and I look forward to seeing everyone at the next one.
Thanks for everything

Yeah, I borrowed the deck from a teammate because I didn't have everything for mine until some noob came along.
The return of a Legend(in his own words)
Dreadstill is only played by Team Hammafist, at least until everyone else picks it up.
Even though I was the only one of us(that went) who didn't Top8 being congradulated by Dave Feinstein is a win in my book, thanks Bro and sorry for not liking any of your TRADE BOOGAS!
That was a very well-run tournament. I wasn't feeling 100%, and I misplayed my match away in the top eight. Congrats, Rodney, for beating me. It was a very well-run and enjoyable event; I'm hoping that they schedule another one just like it.
