Given how overpowered creatures have become, and how prominent a role they play in the vast majority of current legacy deck strategies it's time to wreck dreams. Humility is a very powerful card that has been in the background for far too long in my humble opinion. If this card is ever going to succeed I don't think it is going to be by having 1/1 wars.
Using the sol lands, chalices, and 3-balls to not die until we drop Humility + Caltrops or Kozilek's Return to wipe the board of threats while we throw bombs in the form of direct damage via our plainswalker/direct damage package is the gist of this brew in a nut shell. I think any legacy deck in 2017 running 4x Humility's is spicy, and Pimento peppers are super humble so I think the name sticks. Would love to hear what the world thinks.

looks good, i'd sleeve it up.
but with enough basic plains, drop some fluff and run 4 blood moons...
Why Idyllic over Enlightened?
I second the Bloodmoon, it's effective and a royal slap against a good amount of decks. I also love the Caltrops, that's not a combo I myself have thought of and with Young Pyromancer such a common sight, it's not a half bad card to have around anyway.
Put some REB in the sideboard and cut the extra Caltrops. There is no match you need 4 of those. Not with the amount of burn based sweepers you have access too.
Lastly, you need more ways to close a game. With no manipulation available to you, 4 Chandra as your primary win is too few big threats. Even if you lock out someone with Caltrops and Humility, give them enough time and they will likely find an answer. 3ball will only delay someone so long until they just simply draw lands. Look into something like Jaya Ballard, Rakka Mar, Koth or Elspeth as possible additional kills.
While I like the idea, aren't the deck trying to do what Big Red is already doing ?
Assemble the Legion is a possible win con that doesn't care about Humility (other than Haste).
fear that chalice will lock out Enlightened TutorWhy Idyllic over Enlightened?
In my experience as a Dragon Stompy player, Lotus Petal and Trinisphere don't play particularly well together. You want a mana source that will stick around, so Chrome Mox/Mox Diamond/Mox Opal are your options and each has a downside (card disadvantage/more lands than you want/lots of cheap artifacts).
Simian Spirit Guide also isn't bad, maybe not a full playset, but 2 might be a good number.
I don't think you need 4 Idyllic Tutor, unless you increase your enchantments to more than 4 Humility and 2 Sulfuric Vortex. I'm partial to Blood Moon and think you should have at least 1 in your 75.![]()
Fun. I commonly play R/W Prison in Modern and there's some similarities here but better toys. The Parfait thread could have some ideas for you also. A pile of ideas below.
I'd drop the Stone Rain for Blood Moon since you don't have a strong land destruction element that makes Stone Rain really worth it. Blood Moon will still shut down manlands, but will do so en masse and could occasionally screw the opponent in other ways.
4 Idylic Tutor seems like a bit much. Perhaps cut some and put in an Ensnaring Bridge? Could sorta serve as Humility #5 that could be found naturally.
Consider using some copies of Sweltering Suns. I've been running it in Landstill and the ability to deal 3 to Leovold is solid, plus the ability to cycle in games where it is not relevant is nice.
I'd also think about dropping at least one Chandra for an Elspeth just to reduce the chances of stranding one in your hand.
You could drop the Caltrops in the sideboard and put in RiP/Helm kill as a backup plan to burning them out with Chandra.
Similarly the black leyline could be replaced with Rest in Peace so you can cast it.
Simian Spirit Guide could be helpful to increase chances of turn 1 Trinisphere and/or Rest in Peace.
Lastly, I'd look at Mox Diamond. You have so many high CMC cards that I think keeping the mana around is helpful over always burning it with Lotus Petal.

I like the idea of humility based control as many fair and combo decks folds to that. I would rather play token makers in form of enchantments and planeswalkers instead of cantrops though. I would also say that blood moon is a must in a deck like this.
Just replace caltrops with thunderstaff. GG
Bye
Circle of Flame is good in that role with Humility .
4 Koth of Hammer
4 Blood Moon
Great feed back team. Circle of Flame is a real game changer in that by replacing Caltrops for it, opens up the chance to play cards like Assemble the Legion
This is my Current list:
4 Ancient Tomb
3 City of Traitors
3 Plateau
4 Arid Mesa
3 Mountain
3 Plains
4 Chalice of the Void
4 Humility
4 Chandra, Torch of Defiance
4 Fiery Confluence
2 Fireblast
3 Trinisphere
2 Idyllic Tutor
2 Simian Spirit Guide
1 Mox Diamond
4 Blood Moon
2 Circle of Flame
2 Assemble the Legion
2 Searing Blood
4 Koth of the Hammer
//Sideboard
SB: 2 Revoke Existence
SB: 1 Leyline of Sanctity
SB: 1 Academy Rector
SB: 2 Red Elemental Blast
SB: 1 Ensnaring Bridge
SB: 2 Rest in Peace
SB: 2 Kozilek's Return
SB: 1 Helm of Obedience
SB: 2 Sweltering Suns
SB: 1 Defense Grid
If that's the concern you would cut a mountain for a plains.
