Why not have your Lurrus with a side of Storm?

1 Hope of Ghirapur
1 Lurrus of the Dream Den
1 Tormod's Crypt

Free Storm off Lurrus plus LED, not to mention that it could block or get you back earlier used Artifact mana. Why not?

Lurrus Storm was just dumb, like most Lurrus decks. Glad it's banned.
I think TES is stronger than ANT right now. The popularity of Veil and Oko decks makes the protection suite of Thoughtseize+Duress worse than Veil+Grid. Graveyard decks are popular now, so there is a lot of grave hate, which weakens Cabal Ritual+PiF vs Rite of Flame+Echo of Eons.
This was 5th place in the recent MTGO Legacy Challenge.

It borrows some tools from TES: Veil of Summer and more copies of Wishclaw Talisman, with Grids and Carpet in the SB
Does anybody still follow this deck here?
Just wondering if anybody has tried out the new legacy legal Unfinity card Pair-O-Dice lost?
I dismissed it at first, but tried practicing around with it a little bit, and it has been stronger than expected as a potential supplement to (or even replacement for) Past in Flames. I also saw someone recently did well at a tournament with it on mtgtop8.com.
Thoughts?

Kept a turn 1 hand:
Misty Rainforest
Thoughtseize
Lotus Petal
Lotus Petal
Lion's Eye Diamond
Dark Ritual
Infernal Tutor
Won after stripping their Force with Pair o' Dice Lost deterministically.
Would not have been able to with Past in Flames and while high likelihood Ad Nauseam would have delivered, that is not guaranteed.
Really liking how it's turned the deck into more reliable run flex slots like maindeck Sylvan Library without being a huge liability on the mana base.
What did you roll?
1+1 would leave you 1 mana short for Tendrils I think, but literally anything else (35/36=97%) returns Ritual for IT + 5 mana. Ad Naus must have a lower success rate.
You're right, but the roll was 6+2, not quite deterministic as I said.
But turning back on the artifacts for both storm & mana does make for much more dangerous hands in general.
Only downside is if we fall back into a Miracles control meta where casting PiF on flashback is the plan B to beat countermagic
Is this forum still in use?
I'm super behind but I saw the card Solve the Equation that caught my fancy.
Should be a nice replacement in the classic list from 700 years ago that ran a $200 Grim Tutor before it got reprinted.
(Meantime Probe got printed and then banned but whatever LOL.)
Was thinking about something like this:
2 Underground Sea
1 Volcanic Island
1 Island
1 Swamp
4 Polluted Delta
3 Misty Rainforest
2 Bloodstained Mire /14
4 Brainstorm
4 Ponder
3 Preordain
4 Infernal Tutor
2 Solve the Equation
1 Past in Flames
1 Tendrils of Agony
1 Ad Nauseam /20
4 Lion's Eye Diamond
4 Lotus Petal
3 Chrome Mox
4 Dark Ritual
4 Cabal Ritual /19
4 Duress
3 Thoughtseize /7

Spell based combo decks are in a tough spot right now, I think only Doomsday is still represented (if you can even call that spell based)
Using the first 2-3 turns to sculpt a hand and build towards enough resources for a send is so much harder now, you'll find yourself interrupted or countered or just straight up dead before you're ready to combo.
I think for the cost, Wishclaw Talisman is a better card than Solve the Equation
Yeah I have no idea about the Legacy meta right now. Decks to beat here are over a year old and weren't up to date back then anyway.
Where does everyone go these days for discusions on Legacy? Or is competitive Legacy finally so expensive everyone and their mom had to bail?
OT: I personally am not a big fan of the Wishclaw, as I can't use it willy nilly to find a random card.
Giving my opponent a one mana Demonic Tutor seems scary. Solve at least allows me to find a Duress or CabRit when I need one.
I might just be old and senile though.![]()

Everything is on Discord now, but it's splintered and scattered across so many servers and every place has it's own decorum and formatting.

Here's the best resource to find whatever specific deck you want to discuss.
Maybe it's because I'm old and have been at this game for a long time, but reading some of these discords, man it makes me feel unjustly qualified in the format.
Like I always felt really green compared to my peers here at The Source, but listening to people debate Stock Up versus Divination in the Legacy discord isn't something I would expect in 2025
