It's not hard or dangerous. Just mask the parts you want to retain color and leave under a UV lamp.

I don't understand why people get off on destroying cards. Most alterations are terrible, the only decent ones come from real artists or people like Gus etc etc. Playset of bleached Force of Will? Why?

Because they look pimp as hell (bleached FoWs I mean; I agree most alterations are terrible)! Just look at this beauty:

But I wouldn't pay extra for them. Just do it yourself.

my one and only Bazaar. What I love about it is the uniqueness of the signature.
It's much much cleaner than those selling at ebay right now..

How long do they need to be like that? (UV-lamp method)

    ...until the color's gone.

Just keep an eye on it. There are varying degrees of color degradation, and obviously the longer you leave it under there the more noticeable the effect will be. Make very certain to completely mask any part that you wish to retain color, though.

I've been holding off posting this for years. It's just so rediculously pimp, I didn't want to minimize anyone elses efforts, but now the time has come. You are ready...

An Italian Legend signed by an Italian legend. I think perhaps only a John Paul II signed Wrath of God could possibly out shine its awesomeness. And he's not even Italian!

    It's signed by Dario Argento.
Tenebre is one of the films he made.
Signing a Mtg-Card must have been a very unusual job for him.

Haha, nice! I had that signed back in the early 90's during what I believe was his first US appearance. I think he was more in shock of American geekdom than anything else.

I got a stack of stuff signed, I just kinda slipped that in the middle. I don't think he even noticed.

    In the same "spirit" :
    * PiZZer0's Ill-Gotten Gains japanese set signed by Iggy-pop !
    * A friend in France : Alpha Nev's disk signed by Larry Niven !!!

(for those who don't know the story, the nevinyrral's disk card was a card created in tribute to this SF writer as a reference to "Ringworld")

This, a hundred times this. Also include pirate ships on alpha/beta underground seas, signed or altered summer magic and test prints, the majority of altered p9 and so on.

True black-white albinos look great. There is a huge difference between those and the typical bleached cards, especially as the bleaching process often ends up damaging the structural integrity of the physical card.

Nev's disk was actually based on the Warlock's Wheel in "The Magic Goes Away". I just read it recently!

Weird, all info I could find on disk from the original source (wizards), claim the disk was actually based on Larry Nevin's books.

    Nevinyrral's Disk is LarryNiven's Disk. Occam's wrong.

    Re: [Bragging] Pimp Legacy Decks

I was stating that the disk was from the short story "The Magic Goes Away" and not "Ringworld". Both are by Larry Niven. It was based on a circular disk owned by a warlock that continually absorbed mana from its surroundings.
    One must imagine Sisyphus happy.

If somebody could get his Bazaar of Baghdad signed and altered by Saddam Hussein, that would beat all signed pimp card in existence!

A little late for that, isn't it?
