I can't foil a deck in legacy, or rather I refuse, because simply I cannot foil my entire deck out without making subpar deck choices (shocklands in place of duals because I can't foil duals). You run non-foil Chains, Duals, Sylvan... Just hunt around and find a clean set of AN apes, won't be that much different, but you'll have the clearly superior (and not superbendy, i'll grant you the hatred of FTV foils) Apes.

Meh, if it exists in foil, its better than the non foil to ME.
I like the art better on AN/FTV but the bending of FTV foils is just redic.

I have to confess that I like DCI Paths because of their alternate artwork. ;) Just personal preference.
Im like FNM Mother of Runes 'cause of their post-8 frame. And I like that Kird Ape far better than AN ones for just the same reason.

I really love the fact that there are so many ways to pimp cards, depending on personal tastes, incomes (of course), collectors vs players .... !
Some go for global sets (shivan, dark rits, trolls, gobs, angels ........), some go for the ultimate rarities (summer, testprints, alpha playtest ....) , some go for extreme alters and signed cards (Jordi and Antonio are just way out of control on this particular pimp), some like Garfield's old signature (yep they do exist !), many other go for foiling out decks, language pimp..............etc etc etc
