A beat up card is nowhere close to pimp even if it's summer magic or w/e. So yes Mint Unlim P9 pieces are definitely nice and yes Jap foil is nowhere close to pimp.

That being said pimp is about personal taste first and foremost so there's nothing to blame in white bordered cards (nor in any kind of "pimp"). So yes this totally invalidate my last statement about jap foil.

The two ONLY things that must be mandatory for pimp is a certain level of scarcity and the card condition (NM or better).

WB power might look good if its nm or next to wb korean cards, but its not pimp. There is nothing special about it since its not rare and isn't flashy. I'd rather play nice p9 proxies since they're flashier and probably harder to come by than unlimited power. Its definitely in better taste to run proxies next to jap foils and artist alters than to ruin a deck with plain old unlimited or english foils (misprints and other things like extreme alters are exceptions).



Also, even if you say pimp is in the eye of the beholder it doesn't mean you and your ideas aren't going to be judged by the community. Beauty is also in the eye of the beholder, but if your gf looks like a hippopotamus and you say she could be a supermodel I'm surely going to have something to say about it. Whether you like it or not there are standards for what is pimp and what isn't. Ovinogeddon holds a pimp type 1 tournament and there sure as hell isn't any wb p9 in that event.

FWIW real pimps use scanners.

Fighting about "Pimp" is stupid, everyone has an opinion about everything. Instead of jumping on people's backs like elitists (example in this post) perhaps we should acknowledge the effort they put into what they post.

I'd rather see "random P9 junk" than posts like this. The fact that you label P9 as junk without making any sizeable contribution to this thread whatsoever is also quite ironic and funny.

Just let people post what they want -- most people don't mind seeing nice cards in general. You save more time skipping pictures you're not interested in than typing a poorly thought-out post that is typical of you anyway. The only times I actually say anything negative is when posts like yours are made or when people feel the need to nitpick the hell out of everything someone else posts

!5th Korean City of brass or 5th traditional chinese city of brass? (black bordered)
!Beta dark rituals or korean? I only want three, I have a horribly miscut revised one I'm using.
!how great is german ice age? do I want that or some level of japanese, or korean. (pyroblast, brainstorm)
Also I don't want white borders, I know some korean versions are available in BB so if any of the cards I listed are from white border only sets, I'll mark those off. (aside from my revised miscut)

I can't speak to the City of Brass, but to answer your other two; German Ice Age is all kinds of hot sauce (I have a copy of Pox in German and I want more like nobody's business), and they made Korean Rituals in Urza's, so you don't have to choose between Korean and BB if you don't want to.

His are Alpha edition, not Beta. The corners were cut differently in that edition.

I'll probably go that route, I just realized 5th was white bordered in all languages.

Also, the reason I was considering beta was because my misprint is revised, (and I wanted to keep art uniform) I would probably end up with korean mirage if I didn't go with them.
