But this Angel makes me sad. Her hosing ability would be best on a cheap body to actually have a great impact in form of hosing fetchlands (and FoW, to a lesser degree).
But at the point she enters the game, it's already past the point where her ability would have mattered the most.
Heh, seems like I'm the only one most interested in the Soulbond creatures, looks like a pretty funny and strong mechanic.
All this discussion about the miracle mechanic is getting a bit tiring. I don't know whether or not the mechanic will be overpowered, or whether or not it will result in Brainstorm getting banned (hope not. Legacy wouldn't feel the same without Brainstorm).
But from a purely subjective standpoint, I just don't find the mechanic all that fun or interesting, really.
Avacyn is really hot, by the way.
Personally, I'm strangely fond of the flying Soulbond dude. Hopefully we'll see more soulbond creatures with nifty abilities (gawd I want hexproof on a cheap guy), they kind makes all your creature's pseudo-slivers.
I don't think the true strength of the doublestriker is to make a beast into a beast++, but rather more or less turn anything into a respectable creature while also being one on his own.
Anyone know if you can bond a soulbond creature to a new partner should the first one die?
Why so excited over Soulbond? It's kind of just a bad Lord effect + the disadvantages inherent in trying to play Auras.
Unless they make a Hexproof one that is. Then we're talking.
Ah yes, just saw they stop being paired when one die. Thanks.
Soulbond (You may pair this creature with another unpaired creature when either enters the battlefield. They remain paired for as long as you control both of them.)
Does this mean that if you have a soulbond creature, A, bond to B you cannot bond it to C when C enters the battlefield, as A is a paired creature. Not entirely sure on my english semantics...
Love the mechanic anyhow.
Because it's alright to be excited over interesting cards as well as broken ones. :-P

Expect me or die. I play SI.
Soulbond feels rather similar to Exalted, sacrificing flexibility in exchange for more powerful bonuses. And as for Exalted, a utility guy (mana elf, disenchanter, hate bear, etc.) with a decent Soulbond ability could probably be very playable in Legacy.
YOU'RE GIVING ME A TIME MACHINE IN ORDER TO TREAT MY SLEEP DISORDER.
This set is awesome already. We've had so many political allusions its awesome. The Soulbond mechanic alludes to non-dicriminatory marriage and the potential stillbirth of Temporal Mastery alludes to wizardly abortion arguments. One could even argue that a little Demon worship is going down on the side.

If anything, Selena & Avacyn soulbond playmat. Sexy black on white on black/white angel action, done on a white playmat with black sharpie.
