The red creature should be a Show and Tell/Reanimator hate bear. Something along these lines:
Goblin Demon Badass
Cost: 1R
Abilities:
Trample, Haste.
If an Artifact, Creature, or Enchantment enters the battlefield without being cast then Goblin Demon Badass deals damage equal to the Artifact, Creature, or Enchanment's mana cost to the controller of said permanent.

I voted enchantment. Land seems like it will be the card type though, and it will probably be some stupid EDH only land that does nothing in everything else.

Maybe a red "Yata-Garasu"?:
Red Yata 1R
Creature - ????
Haste, trample
At the end of turn, sacrifice Red Yata.
Whenever Red Yata deals damage to a player, that player skips his/her next draw phase.

I decided to vote from some other computer. I voted for an Enchantment. Because yeah and stuff.
I dunno what my starting point would be, if the card were entirely up to me. Maybe something like...
Fiery Ashes
Enchantment
Red cards in your graveyard have ", exile this card: This card deals 2 damage to target creature or player."
"Flavor flavor flavor text, oi oi oi."
That's probably suboptimal wording, but I want it to be like you're actually tossing the burned remnants of the actual spell into some bloke's face. I guess it could have the Grim Lavamancer wording, but see this way you can't have dumb shit like, I dunno, Pithing Needle or Phyrexian Revoker come along and just shut down the enchantment.
I voted artifact, because artifacts can potentially go into any deck by it's colorless requirement, in most cases. If not then I hope it's a land, but the whole Gemstone Caverns thing makes me compelled to push an artifact after that, and yes I'm aware of crucible. ^.^

Goblin Informant 1R
Creature - Goblin Rogue
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player reveals the top card of his or her library. Goblin Informant deals damage to that player equal to that card's converted mana cost.
The most dangerous thing about Goblin Informants is that you can never be sure whose side they're on.

DIAF.
Crucible should've been 4 mana.
Also, wtf, guys?
YMTC and all you can come up with for red is shitty ways to deal damage? You're as bad as Wizards. You want a good red spell? Try this:
Turn the Tides
1R
Instant
Until end of turn, if a creature with power 4 or greater would come into play, it comes into play under your control instead. It gains "at the beginning of your end step, return this creature to its owner's hand".
Bam. Aggro has a tool vs. SnT (albeit a counterable one, because let's not fuck the deck completely). Red gets a tool vs. Tron in Modern (because I would like to fuck that deck completely).
Can't people come up with a red creature card that doesn't do direct damage or has haste/first strike?
Please stop talking about whether Force of Will is broken or not. It obviously is, and rather than "the glue that holds vintage together" it would be better to call it "the rug under which you hide the filth until there's so much that you can no longer conceal it".
In defense of cool artifacts, Memory Jar Draw-7's forever!

WotC can't either.
We all know that WotC hates landdestruction so that leaves artifact destruction and direct damage as the red Evergreen (lol) abilities in eternal formats. Since artifact destruction on a red creature was a pretty common printing through the games History and I consider Lightning Bolt the #1 Red Card in Legacy up to this point, I think a red analogy to snapcaster including Flash and an EtB Lightning Bolt attached is something possible. I would be excited about a red elemental blast with a body too but I'm pretty sure the final design of the card will only appeal the Standard and Modern crowd and will be tailormade for that audience

- We can't LD because LD isn't fun, according to Maro.
- Burn is everywhere.
- Red doesn't have much else (copy/Shunt effects, artifact destruction, Threaten effects, Loot effects)
I don't see much room for red to get anything interesting. Maybe something equipment-related?

Screw making creatures screw modern and standard.

Didn't Wizards say somewhere that Goblin Piledriver was the red 2-drop?
1R trinket mage? Red isn't always about destroying artifacts. Just most of the time
