Why would anyone want to discourage bad players? Bad players don't drive away good players, but I can see it going the other way. It has to get old losing to the same players each week.

why cards are so expensive...hoarders
It's the $10 burger that he/she eats, the beer he/she drinks, the cigs he/she smokes + what ever else is unneeded that he/she spends money on. This is also a daily thing I mind you. I have friends that do this, that's why I bring it up.
While yes, the occasional night out isn't bad, but when in excess, we know that's trouble.
I have a car payment, car insurance, I pay for majority of my food as my diet isn't a cheap one, I chip in for utilities, I also pay some money towards the house payment (rent). I've paid for college where a grant didn't cover. Please, continue to tell me I'm circumventing the financial burden of being an adult. Me moving out wouldn't change much. I might pay 150-200 more a month. Which I already do pay for religious reasons. So I say I'm not much different from every other adult, financially speaking. But I'm sure you'll find a way for me to not qualify.
I'm not upset with you or anything, I want that to be clear.
What it takes to be a pimp:
1. Knowing the right people.
2. Have the money
Not one or the other, but both.
The fastest way to become a millionare is to start with a billion dollars, then start collecting magic cards, eh? - dry cereal
Right... so when you're bragging in the "Legacy Pimp Card" thread that you buy $400 Vintage staples like Workshops (not even to play with as you said you have no Vintage scene in your area) simply because you can, referencing the fact that you have a semi-decent job and live at home, that really is roughing it out in adultland. Poor baby.
"Chipping in" for rent and utilities isn't the same as paying for 100% of them. If the mortgage is $1,000 and utilities come to another $400, that's $1,400 that an adult is solely responsible for. Even if you pay 50% of that (doubtful), you still are $700 ahead of everyone else who doesn't live at home. So again, it isn't the $10 burger that is keeping people away, it's the fact that they don't the luxury of "chipping in" for rent and utilities; they pay for all of it. And this is on top of having to pay for their car, insurances, groceries, student loans, credit cards, etc. What don't you understand?

Just got a message from them "police shut us down we can do no more buisness with the magic"
Goddamnit =(
I agree completely. However, it's often times much more palatable financially (and probably psychologically) to spend $300 on a competitive Standard deck every 6 months than to drop $1,500 one-time only on a competitive Legacy deck. I think that's the issue a lot of Standard players face. They realize that in the long run, Legacy is cheaper, but in the short term with only $30 in their wallet and two Thassa's away from completing their deck, Standard allows them to play competitive Magic for "less" (relatively speaking).
So people should give up their houses and move into cramped apartments in order to have spare money for magic?
And what if Duals one day rise to $2,000 each? What then? Will you finally admit the format is too expensive?
When is it finally okay to say "man I just can't afford to play Legacy?" Because apparently as long as SOME people are able to afford it, you all feel that EVERYONE should be able to.

Most of the people who contacted them were for an "investigative" purpose. I know that was the case for myself (more to see about picking up proxies for cube, and not playsets of jaces). I am still going through a Chinese printer to make "life like" proxies of my cube. Does that make me a bad person?
On a side note, the company I am currently looking at lets me upload the art I want. I'm working on a cool Magic: the Combo Cube backing for the cards to make it a little more unique. If anyone else can think of a cool tag line to name my cube (to be printed on the back of the cards) please let me know via PM)
