If I was gonna go fearless, I'd consider a couple Urza's Bauble in there to help racing the bastard before they can land hate, but only if you're playing with Spy and you're intentionally not using Chancellor.
Have you tried them Caleb?
The thing I don't like about the Baubles is that the effect is not immediate. Maybe there's another way?

Manaless draw options: Sky Hussar tapping Narcomoebas, Call to the Netherworld targeting Street Wraith, Edge of Autumn (sacrificing Dakmor Salvage)
Already used: Street Wraith, Gitaxian Probe, Mishra's Bauble, Urza's Bauble
Vintage Only: Library of Alexandria, Bazaar of Baghdad
Possible future option: Serum Powder (i.e. if something is ever printed to let you discard as part of mulligans, this card could then Dredge {as a replacement effect} and let you stock your graveyard before the game starts)
Honestly I have no idea. I think slave just wanted to crunch the numbers when evaluating Unmask? My understanding from igri's posts was that he mostly just ended up Unmasking himself, so I suggested LED as a straight upgrade for slave's calculations (and off the discussion spiraled).
Jeremy Kacprzak playing Manaless Dredge at SCG Detriot right now.
DDD / Death & Taxes
It was hard to watch, but Kacprzak managed to beat a RIP in the second round.
DDD / Death & Taxes
I played Jeremy in this event in Round 4 and it was his first time playing the deck, and a legacy event at that to.
The blue build I was running just destroyed it in the mirror, being on the play game one still won!
I kindly taught him how to properly do dredges for shadows along with other tricks, and introduced him to my friend Mcintosh that was on sight watching my match, for those of you that recognize that name.

Does anyone else care that JOU is bringing yet more Dredge hate?
DDD / Death & Taxes
It costs 4 mana as opposed to somewhere between 0 and 2...
I think people'll rather go for the graveyard hate already available to them so no, I don't care.
No, I didn't try them because they don't help your critical second turn while Unmask can at least get flung at your opponent. Unmask or Probe make for a highly profitable t2 Therapy which I prefer.
I can't blame anyone for playing the Baubles. They obviously work as well. The bigger picture is more important: are people playing adequate graveyard hate? Until the answer is a resounding yes, keep running this deck back. The core is stronger than a vast majority of what is going on in the legacy world.
The Quad Cities: twice as nice as the Twin Cities.
Loaming Shaman does mostly the same thing but costs less. Yixlid Jailer is game over and only costs 2. Agent of Erebos's best hope of seeing play in my opinion is in dredge decks as a dread return target, although I have no idea when you would want a Crypt effect when you could just reanimate Griselbrand or Spy.
Agent of Erebos may be some cute tech for the mirror![]()
