what were your side tables for this version ?
and now you test -1 top +1 Wish and fluster in side are back ?
@P-E:
Yep now i'm testing the list above -1 Senseis devining top -1 bayou + burning wish + badlands
But i'm not sure if it's great, wish is just great after ad nauseam because you need no lions eye diamond and sometimes you can start turn 1 with a couple of goblins like tes does.
But i'm not 100% sure about that card, maybe it should be top or a preordain again.

Ok guys,
Finally i've a list of matchups were Young Pyromancer shines in postboard games.
In general:
Young Pyromancer itself is kinda weak and the token as well and i mean the powerlevel, not the quantity.
Boarding them against a batterskull deck doesn't make sense right? Good.
A few decks board out all of their "strong" creatures and replace them with countermagic or other disruption,RUG Delver is a perfect example.
I'm also a RUG Delver Pilot (Team RUGStar,so kinda obvious i know :D )
And against storm i normally board out 3-4 goyfs for flusterstorms,blasts,...
So Young Pyromancer becomes a real beater and manages to control the board and finally swarms the opponent.
Ok now the te matchups were Young Pyromancer is good to have:
- Miracles (!)
- RUG Delver
- Grixis Delver
- BUG Landstill
- UWR Delver (they board out Stoneforge for Meddling Mage i think)
- NLT
- UR Delver
Maybe:
- Team America, not sure about that so i need your feedback and opinions :)

Well, the reasoning is that I think PiF is the best combo engine in the deck in game one. Furthermore, most of the time, it's preferable to have a PiF while going off with a tutor, led and a ritual. Because you can go off through a hard counter by either drawing it out on the tutor, or by grabbing a duress with the tutor, mana permitting.
I'm not utterly convinced it's the way to proceed, but I'm hitherto quite pleased with the results.
Once you're no longer running Ad Nauseam in the maindeck you get the freedom to play with some of the CMC-limits the deck otherwise demands.
I will say that I pretty much always side out one of the PiF after game one to offset them bringing in graveyard hate.
I play UWR as well, and I don't think I've ever done that - I board out StP for Meddling Mage and usually pulled out TNN & jitte for SoFaF & some REB/pyroblast (actually, I'd have to think a little, I haven't played in a while and don't remember exactly how I'd board, because I'm pretty sure I pull in some Rest In Peace - but I definitely left in Stoneforge, and swapped Jitte for SoFaF - every hit with batterskull means more storm needed, I wouldn't take it out)
(Of course, I'm not that great a player, so YMMV)
Finished the swiss in 4th place (out of 68) at a vancouver tournament. Lost a close match to BUGDelver in top8. List as follows:
1 Ad Nauseam
4 Brainstorm
4 Cabal Ritual
4 Dark Ritual
1 Past in Flames
1 Tendrils of Agony
3 Preordain
4 Duress
3 Cabal Therapy
4 Gitaxian Probe
4 Infernal Tutor
4 Ponder
4 Lion's Eye Diamond
4 Lotus Petal
2 Island
1 Swamp
1 Tropical Island
1 Volcanic Island
2 Underground Sea
4 Misty Rainforest
4 Polluted Delta
SB: 2 Chain of Vapor
SB: 2 Abrupt Decay
SB: 1 Empty the Warrens
SB: 3 Massacre
SB: 4 Dark Confidant
SB: 2 Surgical Extraction
SB: 1 Cabal Therapy
The meta here has slightly more Dredge and ANT and less Grisselbrand, so i went for 2 Surgical+1 Therapy instead of the normal 3 Xantid Swarms. Bobs seemed like a good choice with ANT, BUG, and Miracles being the most played decks in the area.
Boarding synopsis:
*R1 Mono Red Burn (win)
+2 Chain of Vapor
+1 Cabal Therapy
-2 Preordain
-1 Gitaxian Probe
*R2 Jund Pod NicFit (win)
+2 Chain of Vapor
+1 Cabal Therapy
-3 Preordain
*R3 UWR Delver (win)
+2 Chain of Vapor
+1 Cabal Therapy
-3 Preordain
*R4 ANT mirror (loss)
+4 Dark Confidant
+2 Surgical Extraction
-1 Island
-3 Preordain
-1 lotus Petal
-1 Cabal Ritual
*R5 Elves (win)
+2 Chain of Vapor
+1 Cabal Therapy
-3 Preordain
*R6 Shardless BUG (win)

*Quarterfinals - Same Bug Delver player as R7. (loss)
+4 Dark Confidant

I think my configuration was good for the day. Any input on my boarding VS ANT & BUGdelver? I was uneasy there...

@Brett
How did the Bobs perform versus BUG Delver? I never liked Bob versus BUG Delver.
Cheers
@cheerios
I thought it was sweet. He never had removal and never cast a lilliana though. But compared to the preordains i sided out, bobs increased my outs hugely and helped negate his hymns. Thats the only match ive ever played with the configuration though so i'm not sure.

@Brett
Hmmmm. Might have been bad luck on my end. The guy usually dies on my experience. Sometimes he ends up as a body to block goyf too.
Cheers

First of all, congratulations BrettF for your result :)
We also tested dark confidant here in berlin with carsten kotter and our legacy crew im the ANT Sideboard for a while and finally we don't believe that bob has a real home in ant - or should i say bob doesn't deserve 4 slots in the sideboard.
In the mirror:
The mirrorgames turns out like a pure race or(!) a disruption game when both players get hellbent due to multiple duresses.
If both players start to grind instead of comboing, bob is nuts of course.but otherwise not because bob is a slow card in nature.
In short: i'm not even sure about boarding them in against the mirror, probably not.
There are a lot of Storm-players around here but nobody has a single bob in the sideboard.
Against slow Hymn to tourach decks where bob should be good(shardless bug,jund,pox,...):
These decks play 3-4 hymn to tourach and it really hurts if they hit our important spells,so far so good (bad :D)
The bob-effect seems really strong here but there is still a big problem:
Even if our opponent is stupid and board out all removal spells there is still 3-4 liliana of the veil left to take care of bob pretty soon.
Even against Miracle Young Pyromancer is better (in my experience)

Thanks Kai.
I went in kind of blind just switching from TES so i didn't get to test Young Pyromancer.
Looking forward to ANTing some more.
EDIT:
I wonder if pyromancer is best in a 4 preordain build to take advantage of full cantrip velocity in post-board games?
storm anecdotes @brettfrankson on twitter
You are right, after round 5 of BoM i wished my senseis devining top would be a preordain instead to support young pyromancer.
Senseis devining top could be a sideboard card against discard-heavy decks from now.
Another thing i changed is my 15th land ,i'm playing badlands now instead of bayou because of the pyromancers, now i board them also against decks with wastelands so having 2 red lands seems rock solid.

@Kai/Sawatarix
How were the Young Pyro's versus BUG? I'm currently searching for an effective storm list versus BUG (been testing ANT and Bryant's new T.E.S. list). Your list is quite interesting with the lack of ETW and 2 MD Ad Nauses.
Cheers
Which type of bug deck do you mean?
Team america with delver and dazes or shardless bug with agent and lilianas?
Or even bug walkers ?
