Hello community!
I need an advice on one EDH accesory! I got a green-white EDH deck and I really like my mixed G/W box made of Dragon Shield Deck Box: Green and Dragon Shield Deck Box: White (with green for bottom and white for cover... or vice versa?)
What I dislike is the fact that I got nowhere to place the tokens, die, and counters. Any idea what to do? In an ideal world, I'd use something where-in I may stick the G/W deckbox with some additional space for the few tokens and such stuff. This way I'd have my box in a safe box (uhm...) with all the necessary stuff handy.
Any help!?
PS: It needn't to cost 45 bucks...

A fat pack box will hold 3 sleeved decks with a little space for tokens, or 1 deck and plenty of room for other stuff. The hard plastic top loaders also fit inside well for dividers and such. Ultra Pro also makes a flip top plastic box (pro box or something?) that easily holds my double sleeved Karador deck and some tokens. I carry my dice separately.
BDP, the product you linked to is what I use. I have 4, purchased over 3 transactions. Two of them are wonderful. One is very good but has a spot that concerns me as something that could deteriorate eventually (years?). The last one (most recently purchased) is fine but the magnetic 'lock' is off center and does not hold tight. The magnets connect (you can hear it), but the lid nipple doesn't line up with the box belly-button...
You have mentioned elsewhere that you're EDHing mostly in pubs. So when you go out, do you bring a bag with all your stuff? Do you try to haul around as little as possible? Is it somewhere inbetween?
Do you have one deck? 2? 3?
The nicest part of the deckbox you linked to is that it is an 'all parts included' game box. It houses your deck, the dice, tokens, whatever you need. The downside is that it is a large box and can sit awkwardly in a bag. It also only houses 1 deck in a fairly large space.
If you end up with 2 or 3 decks and are looking to lug as little as possible to the pub, I support Davran's suggestion. A fatpack box has enough to fit 2 or 3 decks plus accessories and is very compact. It is also made of sturdy cardboard and can endure an average amount of abuse without coming open or disintegrating. Oh, and I hear they come with packs of Magic cards! They'd make a fine ante in your duels with Pavel.
I dislike all things magnetic. I have that vikslajvant mtg box and I hate it wholeheartedly, it always opens because the magnet cannot hold it properly.
Well, my EDHing is so limited, that it's on the bring of statistical error. I hope I'll get to it more often, but as long as Pavel will be on his workaholic crusade, it seems like I'll visit the EDH tournaments more often than pubs. You have mentioned elsewhere that you're EDHing mostly in pubs. Oh, so this was the final nail in the coffin. The nicest part of the deckbox you linked to is that it is an 'all parts included' game box. It houses your deck, the dice, tokens, whatever you need. The downside is that it is a large box and can sit awkwardly in a bag. It also only houses 1 deck in a fairly large space.
A plus side is that I already got one fatbox, so maybe I'll use it. But I must build some EDHs to fill the empty space! If you end up with 2 or 3 decks and are looking to lug as little as possible to the pub, I support Davran's suggestion. I'll second the fatpack suggestion. I use it to hold either 2 Legacy decks + Sideboard + tokens + Dice or multiple EDH decks + dice + tokens. It's really a nice fit and they're aren't bulky to the extent that it's annoying to take anywhere, it fits great in my satchel. Plus they're fairly durable (and I double sleeve all decks so they're fatter in the first place and the decks still fit fine.

Thirding the fatpack suggestion. I keep my decks in a box from a Dissension fatpack (bought when the set was new); the corners are a little frayed like the holes on a belt, but the box is still structurally solid. The only possible downside to a non-plastic box is that I can't guarantee the cardboard fatpack one will offer protection during a direct hit from a spilt pub glass, but, y'know, don't spill a glass or keep the box where someone else's spill will get to it.
Ultra pro makes funny shaped boxex, its from 3 pieces when disassembled its like matrioshka, top cover, main part and bottom cover. Main space holds 100+ cards with double sleeves, bottom, holds life counters, dices, coins.
I can tell that it survives fall form table in pub on stone floor, without any damage.

To win is an option, to play is must.
Deck can be competitive, but player have to use his common sense how to play it in different metas.

This is the one I like the best: Legion Deck Box
The only problem is that 100 cards double sleeved is a little snug (but fits without torture) although a single sleeved 100 card deck would probably fit like a dream. I am using perfect fit inner sleeves and Dragon Shields. It holds 2 commander decks and has a small place for dice/life counters. It will not accept any oversized cards (which I find a little gimmicky anyway).
I also like the Fatpack boxes a lot! Two EDH decks fit in there, with some dice and tokens!
But I've got to say the Ultra Pro Satin Tower
is way better and looks really premium-quality!
You can fit one EDH Deck in this box with tokens (if you doublesleeve it fits nicely, but gets a little tight with tokens).
The box doesn't close with magnetics (which I also hate) but mechanically. It somehow clicks together and stays that way. It also doesn't burst open in your backpack, which is nice.
There is also a bottom compartment for storing dice. You can check out some reviews of this box on youtube, where the two compartments are shown.
I can highly recommend this box!
