---------------------------
i cut daze cuz i found daze is good wish young pyromancer but not so good with stormchaser, it's a aggro-burn deck so i put 4 chain lightning in.
not much test for the sideboard cards but i think it's probably correct
after the tournament
+++
very happy to build a deck and make 7-0
everytime i have 2 prowess creature in play, the make a bunch of damage.
more burn spell to win delver mirror
PoP is a important reason to play this UR Burn
cuz i build my own deck, so other play think i have daze so they maybe play around it, that's enough to get some time to race, and also the MUD player side in needle name wasteland, but i don't play it.
---
i have no daze and black mana for therapy, so maybe not good against miracle or combo deck, and DNT is also a enemy too.
goyf and gulmag angler is hard to race, maybe i will add third submerge
no stifle no wasteland = no free win
i stop here, i found this deck enough competitif and maybe i'll continue test this deck or Grixis Delver as my weapon
Try Stormchaser mage and burn your friends lol
Got 27th at the Legacy Classic today.
I'll just post match ups and whatnot

I replied to your message. Its incredible that you guys have a legacy community going in Beijing really. When I was working there the fresh graduates were making 3000 yuan a month, which makes it impossible to afford to play legacy there thus I didn't expect there to be a community! Keep it up and hope you guys continue to grow.
Perhaps you should add your store here so anyone happen to be in Beijing know where to go?

Wow so Stormchaser is looking semi-real deal so far? How is everyone finding him so far?
Also Zilong loving the look of your list, wish I was able to find this Legacy scene, I was in Beijing a week or so ago on holiday! Did you truly find Dazes unimpressive with Stormchaser? I was expecting being able to easily save him from Bolt worthwhile, but I suppose I'll test further.
Initial returns seem very promising.
I too was hoping Daze would be good with Stormchaser, but I think the tempo loss of bouncing a land is actually too damaging to the Stormchaser plan. These guys are having a good amount of immediate success with a heavy Chain Lightning plan, so I'm trying that for now.
I'm also tempted to go off the deep end and try to play Abbot of Keral Keep and Sensei's Divining Top, since the Top triggers Prowess and you can do the same cycling trick Miracles does with Mentor, as well as setting up a perfect Abbot trigger. The only way I found room for this was to cut Force of Will, though, so there's definitely an opportunity cost.
A less-crazy idea is trying to fit Reckless Charge or Faithless Looting in somewhere as a way to manufacture extra Prowess triggers and, in the case of Charge, add to the clock.

Violets are colorless.
Everything is nothing.
Have you considered slip through space triggers prowess and cantrips? Not quite the +3 burst but I've always found my problem with ur delver to be keeping my hand stocked.
I don't own Chain Lightnings atm, so I'll try pretty much the same list with 4 Dazes this Sunday. Or maybe I should replace them with Lava Spikes? I don't know, cause they can't kill opposing delvers.
1CMC:
4x Ponder
4x Brainstorm
4x Gitaxian Probe
4x Delver of Secrets
4x Monastery Swiftspear
4x Lightning Bolt
2x Forked Bolt
2CMC:
4x Stormchaser Mage
2x Snapcaster Mage
4x Daze
3x Price of Progress
5CMC:
4x Force of Will
Lands:
4x Scalding Tarn
4x Misty Rainforest
1x Arid Mesa
3x Volcanic Island
2x Island
2x Mountain
Sideboard:
2x Surgical Extraction
1x Pithing Needle
2x Flusterstorm
2x Pyroblast
1x Price of Progress
2x Smash to Smithereens
2x Sulfuric Vortex
1x Exquisite Firecraft
2x Submerge
Honestly, with 8 prowess creatures and, I kinda like Lava Dart.
"Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job."
"Politicians are like diapers. They should be changed often and for the same reason."
"Governing is too important to be left to people as silly as politicians."
"Politicians were mostly people who'd had too little morals and ethics to stay lawyers."
I have, and I don't really like it. The only creature it really has a significant impact on is Swiftspear. I'd rather just play Preordain, or maybe Artful Dodge since it's guaranteed to be 2 Prowess triggers.
In my previous builds with Abbot, those types of effects were really strong due to being able to target Abbot (I was also playing Gurmag Angler back then). With 8 flyers it's less impactful.
Lava Dart is actually probably better than people think. 2 triggers is great, instant speed Forked Bolt that you can spread over multiple turns is sweet. Free spell to defend your guys from burn removal is nice. Seems legit.

Thank u for the video link Tianyuan
the store list link is good but the store Tianshi don't have any website or SNS page, so... better to just search a nearest store and ask more info for legacy events and community or search on internet and find iplaymtg.com if anyone want to find legacy event in Beijing
u can reply me by pm or QQ

Hello~
We also miss a chance to meet new legacy player :) Next time if u go back beijing u can pm me for info.
i have 0 real test for dazes in this deck, i'm afraid without Cruise/DTT i can't deal enough damage before topdeck time, so i need 4 chains and i must cut 4 cards and i choice daze, hard choice indeed, it's a great card, and after i realized topdeck daze is bad so i leave fows as my only life-saver and hope other player play around daze (i know this work only once)
so with this list the best tempo is 1turn swiftspear 2turn chaser+probe 3t bolt chain cantrip, or 1turn delver 2turn filp swiftspaer chain a deathrite turn3 chaser+probe+ponder something like that, and finish by PoP and Snapcaster, can see the turn 3 with 3 land in play is good.
Finn, Lava Dart seems kind of promising tbh. Definitely would be getting rid of Dazes then since Daze and Dart seem like pretty severe stresses on land.
Also speaking of sacrificing Mountains, any thought for Fireblast? I know a few TC era UR lists jammed it, could be nice as a way to get significant amounts of Prowess triggers for the kill.
But yeah, I think I'll be off the 4 Dazes atm in my list and try to fit in 4 additional burn spells in the form of:
- More PoP
- Forked Bolts (like Zilong's list)
- Fireblast
- Lava Dart
Also wouldn't mind considering Abbot in one of these slots too.
I played two of the worst rounds of Magic I've ever played last night. I played against MUD and Death and Taxes but, I'll be honest, I'm basically throwing everything that happened last night out the window.
MUD won the die roll and resolved Trinisphere on turn 2. In game 2 I was able to counter his turn 2 Trinisphere and just murdered him. In game 3 he resolved Trinisphere on turn 2 again. So that was three games in which he had Trini on turn 2, but I guess that's what that deck does. It didn't help that I drew literally 10 lands in game 3.
Death and Taxes was just miserable. I won the die roll and got on top of him despite a mulligan, then proceeded to draw six lands in a row, then a Chain Lightning, then another land. Meanwhile, he drew Flickerwisps and equipment against my single Swiftspear that I couldn't trigger. Game 2 I died with three lands in hand and seven on the battlefield after a mull to 5 on the play.
There's no way this is anything but variance. In three out of five games, I drew double-digit lands in my 18-land deck. Other fun notes: I never cast a Stormchaser, or even a Brainstorm. I did have a Chain Lightning in hand in game 1 against MUD when a Daze would have won me the game (my hand was nuts), but that's anecdotal. I did cast probably around 8 Ponders, but I shuffled easily half of them due to there being multiple lands in the top 3.
Just gonna have to shake that night off. I switched my sleeves and deck box because I'm superstitious like that. Fortunately, I get to play Legacy multiple times per week, so I'll be playing again on Friday.
Edit: been thinking about this today: how do people feel about a black splash for discard spells? I kinda felt like my counterspells were subpar, given the high count of Prowess creatures. Discard (likely Thoughtseize in this case) allows us to disrupt our opponent's hand in a proactive manner.

I hate to be that guy, but oh well. I've been slowly building up a Legacy collection for awhile and realized that, with my purchase of Forces, I have essentially this entire deck minus the Volcanics. I've been meaning to pick up a couple since I'm building into Miracles and I've always liked Delver, so I figured that I could prioritize the Volcs first so I'd have a playable UR Delver and then pick up the Tundras at my leisure.
Keeping that in mind, what's the best landbase to do with only one Volc or so? I have 12 Blue fetches, 12 Red fetches and Steam Vents (which seem bad when you're playing Daze), so I was thinking something like this:
4 Scalding Tarn
4 Polluted Delta
2 Flooded Strand
2 Bloodstained Mire
1 Volcanic Island
2 Island
1 Mountain
Alternately
4 Tarn
4 Delta
2 Strand
1 Volc
4 Island
1 Mountain
Also, out of curiosity, what is the generally accepted creature suit right now? I've seen lists playing everything from Eidolon to Lavamancer. I've seen some buzz about Stormchaser, but I'd prefer to start with a stock creature list and then experiment from there (not to mention that Stormchaser seems difficult to cast with only one Volc).
I was thinking something like this:
4 Delver
4 Swiftspear
4 Young Pyromancer
2 Snapcaster
It really depends. I spent a lot of time playing with 2 volcanics, and the results were the same as when I played with 3. I guess 1 volcanic and 1 steam vents isn't that bad, since you usually try to fetch basics because of wasteland and your own price of progress. Also, you usually use daze in the very beginning of the game, and you have the volcanic and the islands to use for the early dazes.
But also you have to realize that there are usually 2 ways to go, which are the slower UR Delver which got really popular in the last year with Treasure Cruise, and the faster "UR Delver Burn", which is the one I played. Also, 4 islands sounds really bad, if you want more blue sources I would recommend you running more blue fetches. The last time I picked this deck up I had a manabase like this:
3 Volcanic Island
2 Island
2 Mountain
11 fetches (4 U, 3 R, 4 scalding)
If you want to play the slower build, I'd recommend you to ignore my post and wait for someone that is used to play with it. For the faster build (4 chain lightning, 4 bolt, 3-4 PoP in the 75), I would say that a 2 island, 2 mountain, 1 volc 1 steam vents 12 fetches manabase is ok.
The faster version have a creature suit of something like:
4 Delver
1-4 Swiftspear
2-4 Snapcaster
1-4 Goblin Guide
0-2 Grim Lavamancer
0-1 Vendilion clique (not a big fan of it)
The latest were something closer to:
4 delver
4 swiftspear
2 goblin guide
4 snapcaster
0-1 lavamancer
PS.: The only time I missed the third volcanic while I was playing with only 2 was at the final at my state's championship, which I lost because didn't find an island or third volcanic with the fetch to pay a spell pierce... in the following week I got the third volcanic.
Thanks for the reply! I'm coming from Burn, so the faster version is definitely the one I was looking at. That looks like the more popular lists I was looking at, so I'll definitely give that a whirl.
How does this deck stop counterbalance?
