Response to removal. That's the actual great part about having flash. You sac something that would die anyway.

    The warped werewolves are garbage.
And I don't like the flavor and artwork. Even if you want to go for weird cosmic horror, just making random scrambled stuff isn't achieving that really well. Erupting Dreadwolf looks more like pizza than anything else.
Why do they transform for a pile of mana?

You don't have to choose whether to attack or tap for mana, which is exactly what made Noble Hierarch so potent. It's a solid card.

The trouble is... how many 2cc mana dorks see play in eternal? Not many!
Not just that, but...how many instants and sorceries in eternal actually have colorless mana in their costs that this card could actually pay?

There's a decent number of high tide cards: Impulse,Intuition,Merchant Scroll,Cunning Wish,Turnabout, Brain Freeze and Time Spiral.

For a 3/4 prowess creature, you're probably a tempo deck so ... maybe Dismember, Murderous Cut,Manamorphose, and Mana Leak. Apostle's Blessing might also be good if you can get the reduction on-line.

Edit: Actually, based on the gatherer rulings of the other tree, the counters stay on it and still apply after the switch. So I think it works like this:

    Opponent at 20
Tap: opponent goes to 13, tree is 0/20
Untap: opponent goes to 19, tree is a -1/12
Tap: opponent goes to 12, tree is -1/18
Untap: opponent goes to 17, tree is -2/10
Tap: opponent goes to 10, tree is -2/15

and so on. I think it's actually less mana than I originally thought because the counters essentially work double time. You wouldn't be able to finish them off though, and actually I guess their minimum life total you can achieve is kinda based on where they start too, as eventually you'll accumulate enough counters that you can't swap back. Someone better than me at math can probably come up with some simple formula for how much mana you have to spend to get them to x life based on their starting point.
    Step 1: Activate the Tree.
Step 2: Retain priority to activate Sorceress Queen, targeting the Tree.
    Step 3: ???
    Step 4: Profit.

Edit: Step 5: Scroll back a few pages and realize someone suggested it already...

    Soul Separator
    3
    Artifact - Rare
5, (tap), Sacrifice Soul Separator: Exile target creature card from your graveyard. Put a token onto the battlefield that’s a copy of that card except it’s 1/1, it’s a Spirit in addition to its other types, and it has flying. Put a black Zombie creature token onto the battlefield with power equal to that card’s power and toughness equal to that card’s toughness.

This is sort of amazing. From a mechanic/johnny point of view. I'm in love with the design.

Seems like a really bad piece of Dreadnought tech @square_two.

So they basically reprinted Donate in red, for whatever reason:

Which is pretty interesting, considering Donate is a RL card. Only differences are color and "target opponent" instead of "target player".

That's awesome. And great art. Gonna be a $$$ foil just for that.

Welp, guess I'm building Treeskaidekaphobia in Standard, what with this, Tree of Perdition, Triskaidekaphobia, Demonic Pact and other such sillinesses.
