Especially sneak attack where you cannot really use your own show&tells.

Flusterstorm against Canadian reads: "counter half of your opponents deck. ~ can't be countered". Protecting your creatures, countering their cantrips, countering their stifles, countering their counters... all very potent plays. If you play Canadian flusterstorm is better than REB against Esper, because it hits removal and souls while jace is sided out. Only thing that it does not hit is vendilion clique & sncapcster mage (but at least it hits what is flashed back). In any non combo deck flusterstorm is usually better than FoW against RUG and Esper.

Since fluster is a very potent card (also against sneak attack, storm, elves,...) it might be played more and people can adapt to omniclash without ruining the meta right? But fluster is just one example. If omnishow influences the meta you can cut some stuff that is needed less and dedicate 2 SB slots to Omniclash right? Why would that significantly decrease the format diversity?

The example of knowing that you can tap out turn 2 (which does not only affect canadian by the way) was also just one example of how it affects the win% if people know how to play correctly against omniclash. Of course you already considered that in your testing session - who would ever question that your testing is not perfect. Your testing sessions must be very special indeed if you not only create "the best deck" but are also single-handedly able to answer the big question of how the metagame will develop.

I've been testing the Mono-blue S&T deck vs Sneak a bunch, and I think it's actually favored by a tiny bit. Only Sneak on (their turn) is a problem. Griselbrand is a problem sometimes, but you can setup Wish for Trickbind in that scenario.

If Gris's controller has 16 or more life, then Trickbind can be reduced to a draw 7 and lose 14. Done by not passing priority on consecutive Gris activation.

Sneak Attack is always their best card in SnT mirrors. The edge that Dreams of the Infinite has over Sneak Show is Dream Halls has roughly the same speed as a Sneak Attack in the match up. And Dreams is a better designed deck with a better kill.

i'm aware that's a possibility, but how many sneak players will see that play?

Disagree entirely on this evaluation. Wrote a large post in the other thread.

Maybe you can explain how it is "roughly the same" speed altough omniclash is clearly slower with dreamhalls and how a "better" kill matters at all.

Because Sneak isnt winning without 5 mana, 2 of them red. Dream Halls is 5 mana.

The better kill matters the most. I don't see how any one can say how a better kill matters at all. And quote marks around the word better should only be reserved for win cons that don't win the game on the spot and allow you to untap with a few draw phases.

I don't get what the big deal is. This deck clearly just loses to Runeflare Trap, which should be gaining popularity with Ancestral Vision running around anyway.
I think the biggest thing is the deep seeded emotional understanding that the right play is the right play regardless of outcomes. The ability to make a decision 5 straight times, lose 5 times because of it, and still make it the 6th time if it's the right play. - Jon Finkel

Re: Message to all SCG grinders finding Show and tell dumb or just wanting to win...

... play Rug, or Burg how the Germans call it these days. Some of them seem to be pretty convinced that it's the best deck.

( + I have yet to lose to mono u SnT with Rug after 6 matches, am I awesome or do my opponents just suck very hard? )

That's always the question when hearing other players matchup experience, isn't it?

Nuh uh! Don't you know? Whatever deck I happen to be playing is the one that has at least an 80% positive matchup across the board. If you can't make that happen, it's just you not playing it right. I've tested against all local people who are better than anyone on the Pro Tour as well as against people on Cockatrice, who we know are the best the interwebs has to offer... and I've never lost even a game, <insert deck> is -that- good!

Uh - oh, Dream Halls on the rise. Either lejay and friends bought them or speculators finally took track of the deck :)
